LEGEND 10” Head-Unit on P2 Volvo XC90 Tips & Tricks

Decided to post a few videos from my phone for my fellow XC90 owners interested in this head unit! So far I’ve loved it on day 3. CarPlay seems to be booting up faster and the Dynaudio system in Thor really seems to be showing it’s true colors! Fantastic. Links will be pinned in the comments. Enjoy!

My XC90 has been in my family for 17 years now, was my dad’s and I’ve been driving it for at least 8 years. Really don’t want to give it up but definitely can’t afford a new one. This is inspiring me to make it into an upgrade project because I really do not enjoy not being able to connect my phone.

Crutchfield told me not to mess with it, the best audio install shop in the city didn't want to attempt it... I've probably installed 50 stereos over the years, how bad could it be? I got a new nav, three cameras, all new Focal components, two subs, three amps. No big deal, I thought. Three days later I'm regretting it, I'm about to declare war on Sweden. The factory amp bypass is not fun, every panel is installed different, it's just a mess. When this is done I get to fix the valve body, how bad can that be?

Great video as always! Very informative. Having been an auto claims adjuster for some years I have seen how those dash cams are a life saver. I am hoping that the one I originally bought for my Ford Fusion, that I never installed. Thank God that I did not because the Fusion went out on me earlier this month, hints why I am done with paying a car note on vehicles and they do not last. I hope that the wire for the rear camera is long enough for the XC90.

4:10 I just fixed my radio (right control module was borked) yesterday and NONE of the removal videos on KZbin I found mentioned it! Wish I'd found you sooner fam, you'd have saved me a $150 OBDII scanner with SRS capabilities

Do all the buttons on the steering wheel still work after installing this, and do you get the same information on the trip computer? The 03 xc90 I just picked up had the sunroof leak issue I fixed. But that radio has no power at all. Do you know any common fixes? Or do I most likely need to replace it ?

It does use the factory amp. I’d have to check on the audio outputs though

Hello , Does anyone knows what year on the 1st gen volvo added blutooth capabilities ? Here is my problem My stereo not working anymore and since the junkyard full with volvos xc90 for some reason i was thinking to pull a stereo from there that equipped with blutooth but unfortunately the junkyard remove the batteris from there cars and there is no way to check one by one there to see which one has blutooth . the only way to know is that someone know what year has it .

Don’t take the icm out of the case as I did this and it touch ground and damaged the icm. Need to now spend over £300 on a new icm. Bad instructions
