It took my friend and I all night to beat the viguro x2 fight when the game came out. Berserker completely stopped our game, we got depressed trying and failing so many times we had to stop playing and moved on. This game is insanely hard on a blind play and I love it

I WILL NEVER FORGET HOW HARD THIS BOSS WAS!! HE WAS A GAME STOPPER! He hits like a Mac Truck, a devastating Spore Gas, attack, AND THAT STONE CIRCLE!!!! I was stuck on this boss. I miraculously got the ORB because I was wondering the world thinking how I could beat this boss. THE ORB SPELL WAS MY GAME CHANGER! THAT SPELL HELPED ME in order to win because I could never withstand that Stone Circle attack! This boss was impossible for me without Orb.

yeah. the Orb healing everyone helps a lot in this fight. Vera sometimes cannot keep up with the Stone Circle spam.

I love the fact that Zeto lured you into a false sense of security when it came to Bosses' most powerful attacks by thinking that they'll telegraph their attacks but then comes Berserker... Whom spams it whenever it can.

Pro tip: beserker is affected by the nighto spell. Grab it in East/West Voz Forest. It can stop it's attacks until you hit it again, or a small chance it's an instant victory

@@vitorfray Honestly.. smart idea.. I see so many people traumatized from this boss as a kid. There are three things I remember from this game, the village in the beginning, the monastery.. and this stupid boss :D I never beat it as a kid.. didn't even remember the name, the only thing I knew was "plant looking motherflipper who has an attack with.. pillars or something?".. wiped the floor with my party every time :D

This boss was the first BIG grind check of this game. If you hadn't taken some time to grind exp, money, items, summons, and gear, this fight seemed almost impossible. However, if you did, it wasn't too bad. That was a huge part of why I liked this game, you can't just run through it carelessly. You have to stop story progression to grind things out for a while and make your characters stronger. That's true oldschool RPG style. The game was incredibly hard for a casual, inexperienced, or uninformed player and forced you to commit to learning how to play it.

it's one of the most brutal status effects in the game. Cripples the character, preventing some or even all arts from being used.

This is one of the hardest boss battle in the game. The fact that you lack the healing all spell and protection from rot and venom made me frustated when i was playing this game as a child

Berserker is really one of the hardest boss in the game if you dont level up and prepare in advance bc of his rot. For me there are 3 ways or strat to defeat him: 1. Get 3 forest amulet from vidna before you fight him so he cant rot you 2. Get orb from ocram before you fight him. if you dont have an orb then vera is also good. Leveling either of the serus until they remove negative status is also very helpful 3. Get nighto and cheese the fight

Yeah, when I was a kid I was too lazy to grind, so I needed to experiment with various things. Nighto could annihilate Viguro too if we were lucky. Later on, next bosses like Xian had no weaknesses and we must grind in order to beat them.

Before you fight beserker, you must go to octam and catch some orbs out there and along with nighto, grind it up to level 5 or 6 then this battle will be easy

Zeto, Berserker, Xain, Songi 3... Those were the hardest bosses for me, the rest were challenging but didn't strike me as particularily hard. Van Saryu was easy.

It took me like ten tries but I managed to beat it. Had Gala be my cure guy and had one attacker at every turn (switch between Noah and Vaughn). But if I felt confident, and to my own detriment, I'd have my whole party attack, only to lose everytime. Keep it up and you should beat it eventually. I also barely purchase any armor and weapons unless I feel it's been awhile.

Toda vez que penso num Boss difícil em jogos de RPG, eu lembro deste, haha Mano, a primeira vez que joguei Legaia, morri algumas vezes antes de conseguir vencer ele, eu tinha 10 anos (em 2002), foi a maior festa quando derrotei ele, hahaha Esse jogo sempre vai ser um dos Maiores e Melhores RPGs que já existiram.

One attempt on this boss, I had been using that seru who causes charm as it causes this boss to miss his turn if it lands. First round: Boss IMMEDIATELY rushes in and one shots Noa with a ton of lucky damage rolls. So I'm thinking this run is a wash right off the bat. (Cripes does this game's turn order absolutely hate me) Vahn casts spell and for the first time EVER, it procs the death effect instead and the boss dies. So I win...but Noa got denied some much needed exp so it was pretty bittersweet.

Back in 2000, my classmate played for 2hrs trying to beat this boss. Then I played it for him. Watching him watching me, while doing a single round, first attack Nighto. And then boom! Instant death! He didn't even finish the details how he's been f*cked up with this boss. Sabi niya: p*ta! One click lang?!

All this old advice for this boss is bad advice. All you need to do is go buy anti-rot accessories then go kill him. You don't need Nighto or any of that shit. If you're playing this game and not Spiriting one character per turn, you are just playing the game wrong.
