everyone if you are looking for the oars and it says its by some rum bottles go on the piece of land in the middle of the two other dig spots, the rum should be right next to the three trees. you can see them on his schreen at 28:14. hope this helps:)

Thanks for the guide! I don't know if I'd have the patience to go through Monkey Island on my own. As much as I love the concept and being able to play it solo like a campaign, the biggest detriment I think is the lack of checkpoints, and when you do get a checkpoint certain things aren't retroactively done. So you have to go back and redo them if you exit and return. I had that happen a few times, and worse off that you don't really know what is or isn't 'activated'. So you have to go back with a mental checklist of 'I had to do this and that's, going back to check what progress was retained and redoing whatever wasn't, and this guide helped a lot with that :D

I personally enjoyed this but I needed this guide to help me as I tried to figure everything out in my own with limited time to play and now I got a cool sword so thank you. Now as for thoughts on the whole thing. 1. Fun but not to fun as puzzles were weird and parts of story were way off my thinking. 2. Delaying a tall tale for a story no one really knows = bad idea. 3. For people that want this solo only server or more time to learn how to play, this is what they should be doing. 4. Let people know of in game rewards for stuff like this, I did it for fun but getting the burning blade at the end. Very cool. 5. Retorts didn't match good with insults if you ask me but I like the mechanic all in all. Happy Sailing ❤

Agree. Considering the limited play time, more frequent checkpoints would be great and it'd be awesome if it saved retroactive progress. So on a couple of times I had to go back and redo the spyglass setup because it didn't save the progress. And while it may not seem like a big deal, without a guide I wouldn't have known the importance of the sequence and would've probably been running around like a headless chicken trying to figure out how to progress.

mine go bugged when placing the skull in the spike, i placed all the coconuts and for some reason the skull became invisible. I managed to get it but it didnt work when placing it on top of the coconuts

If i didnt have this guide i wouldnt have even bothered. but even then. this was the most painful tale tail to do with the guide. and the ship battle was so un fun. as if you would make us steer the ship and not get to shoot the front cannons that we never get in the normal game. instead we just sit and slowly follow the trail......... then kill the same ship 3 times. so many things could have been done better. Or just used in a pirates life 2

I just did this all got all the way to the last cutscene in the church my game froze and then just turned off loaded the game back up it let me join the session but lechuck was stuck inside the church and wouldnt let me open the doors i restarted multiple times, im not doing this again man

huh, odd... I just finished this Tall Tale, did all the extra commendations for all three, except for some reason I didn't get the Complete All Commendations for All Monkey Island Tale Tales. Thus, I don't get the LeChuck portrait or the Monkey Island song...Everything else is checked out. All the memoirs, notes, journals, and other tidbits are done, but I might have run into a glitch? I got the Steam Achievement for Completing every monkey island tall tale commendations, though.

if you are restarting from the checkpoint, you have to fix all of the spyglass stands and admiral coconut head with the monocle on the beach

That’s lucky I’ve gotten All the commendations but no shanty and the title for getting every commendation hopefully they fix the bug soon I’m finally catching up with getting commendation and title I just gotta get 10 Shipwrecks opened up and get the commodities done and work on the pirate legend commendations and title I don’t know when I’m gonna get the cannonball wood and fruit crate delivery’s done since that’s rng but everything Else I’ll get done except for the legendary shrouded title, I’ve accepted that i’ve only got it once

At some point I had to take a shit and came back to being kicked for idling 🤣 I had gotten 2 of the 3 idols and when I restarted I made the mistake of starting it from the Capsize place and had to redo the first 2 idols all over again since it overwrites your progress. At that point I was just speedrunning to get back to my previous progress 😂
