While I can’t say I’m a long time player of the L5R Table Top, I have put well into the hundreds of hours playing. It’s a setting that is grossly overshadowed by other TTRPGs and Card Games. Thanks for dropping these videos!

Fu Leng fell far from everyone else because Lord moon grabbed him and Hantei cut off his hand. That's how the Obsidian hand was made.

Mankind wasn't created until the fall. When Hantei cut open his father's beauty belly where the blood mixed with tears of lady moon they created man. The unmixed blood because obsidian and the tears became crystal.

For those of you actually want to know more about the duels, I suggest you read the original lord of the Five Rings role-playing books which is something he did not mention and I do believe the roleplay came out before the card game there's a lot more detail in those books, I would not buy the books that are shall we say from Wizard of the coast the books are good but not as good as the original the original was bought out by wizard of the coast and you should be able to find them online there's a lot more detail in the original books however if you cannot find them the wizard of the coast version is still good and is not Dungeons & Dragons however was added to it later but it is still considered its own separate little entity I know because I played the game since the original books came out as well as Dungeons & Dragons and that was back sometimes I'm during the 90s I believe is when the original books came out, I have been playing Dungeons & Dragons since the early 80s

The old school AEG lore for L5R was fantastic, at least the original stuff before the timeline got too stretched out and bloated (the side effect of getting bought by WotC and constantly having to sell new cards). I was lucky to get to play when the game was fairly new, and watch all the original Clan War story elements take place. 25 years later, something about the elaborate mythology of the setting still sticks with me, even if some of the elements are a little silly.
