There is so much Lore and stories with the Legend of the Five Rings, it all begs to become an animated series. As much as D&D got with The legend of Vox Machina.

In our previous L5R roleplaying campaign, the Mantis Clan had representation in the Winter Court, even presenting the Mantis Champion's sister as a potential bride for the Crown Prince. But in order to avoid conflict with the Crane who also presented a potential bride, the Mantis offered to withdraw from the marriage in exchange for becoming a Great Clan.

Always lovethis style of condensed but powerful lore packets. Perfect for my frequent one-off adventures. New group learn the lore, play a 3 (sometimes 5) paret adventure then maybe return the next quarter :-)

yeah Mantis was a strong clan, and a great chalange to play against due to their naval abillity. But Crane (the pompous chickens) was way more anoying.

A lot of lore for AEG's L5R was essentially decided by CCG player tournaments where your deck represents a faction,. The Mantis clan was extremely popular and got a lot of card support that won them a fair amount of tournaments and the lore wank boosts they got ended up being stupidly frequent because of it.
