I've only watched the old LOGH and it was definitely one of the best animes I've ever watched (the novel was insanely great as well) How does the new one fare against the old one? I heard that while the new one has better visuals, its world building is not as detailed as the old one

@@DanielMak1234 In the video, it seems there are actual scenes about the El Facil event making Yang famous for the first time with him talking to a young Frederica instead of a brief picture in the old one, and there are scenes about Reinhard and Kircheis training at the military that are not in the old one either. That's just some little flashbacks I think, I know that this anime is closer to the novel and skips some events of the old one too. But the old one still seems to be the greater experience and that's why it's the one I'm currently watching. But I'm interested by the remake's take of the story, and I'm not as biaised towards it as the many ones who criticize it just because it's different.

I really enjoyed how you told a story with this, and summed up the series and several of its themes. Accompanied by the lyrics, the scenes and the lyrics gain that much more meaning when you see what these people are going through on their heroes journey's as they become Galactic Heroes.

Logh/DNT is one of the saddest anime I've ever watched and is very underrated. It makes you think about life, war, friendship, greed, people's lives, everything. And you'll understand that everything isn't black and white. It's not the kind of sad where you're bawl your eyes out like other anime. It's the kind of sadness that will leave you feeling empty, sad, grateful to be human and to be alive. It's the kind of sad that will make you ask why, why are we living like this? Why are we choosing this? Why is it happening? I'm so glad I started watching it. It is so underrated. I feel so sorry for all the characters it makes me weepy at times.

Something strange about the NT is that the ships bridges' view ports are actual windows instead of being display screens, located in the citadels of the ships.

I'm pretty sure that, at least for the Allied ships, the bridge remains protected in the centre of the hull unless the camera feed is ruined for some reason. At Astarte, this happens to one of the command ships and so they're forced to raise the bridge out into the open to see manually. It's.... a silly feature, understandably. Why not just include multiple redundant video systems to ensure that they never have to do that? It would also probably be cheaper than installing a whole mechanism raise the bridge out into space.
