@EpicLuigi24 Mario went from a side scrolling game to 3rd person (behind mario) it was never 1st person perspective by by default and I never mentioned 1st person in my previous comment.

find me proof that sidescrolling has ever been called third person perspective gaming by a professional gaming commentator and I'll agree with you. Because as far as I know sidescrollers are just that, sidescrolling games classed as 2D only, where as third person perspective games are views from behind your character, and again I reiterate, I never stated or implied that Mario was ever a First Person Perspective game, I stated an opinion and EpicLuigi24 implied that I had said that.

You're still wrong. 2D Sidescrollers will always be third person perspective. Apart from a few cutscenes in games like Mario Kart where Lakitu sees the player driving, there hasn't been a first person mario. By saying it was good until it switched to third person perspective, you're implying it was in either the first, or second perspective. And that's wrong. It was never in the first, and it was only second in cutscenes.

Zelda and Secret of Mana are the only reason for buying Nintendo nowadays in my opinion, Mario was good till it went 3rd person perspective then I lost interest. Secret of Mana on SNES is from what I've seen the only game from that era that can still command a £50+ price on ebay
