One thing I never got was how excited the sages are when they find out they're sages. Like yay, I become a spirit who's confined to a little hexagonal room for eternity.
@ManuelGonzalez-gn9bg5 жыл бұрын
But in the end they are in "death mountain", free of their hexagonal room, suppose their spirits were released, if not, they could not do that. They completed their mission, they are in another dimension, their needs are different, not material. They are wise, now their wisdom and protection is enough to feed their own spirit.
@thebluePumpking4 жыл бұрын
Okqy perfect, could somebody help me understand those sages? Are all of them dead? Me and my best friend always talk about this and we can't find a real answer. For me it always seemd like they died during Links adult adventure. When people say this game is not a masterpiece because of technical issues or gameplay imperfections, I think they're missing the point, they're being too logical and cold about it. Yes, the game isn't 100% flawless, the game isn't perfect, and still, it is a 10/10 for me just because of this ending. How can I consider a game that isn't perfect a 10/10? That doesn't make sense right? Well, if we were talking about a banking software, or a mathematical algorithm that indeed, wouldn't make sense. But this is art. Emotions matter, and I'd say more than logic, because what matters is what the game made you feel. You could argue that the gameplay and technical issues affect how you feel about the game, but to me everything is forgiven when I see this ending, and feel the things it makes me feel. People don't love this game because of how it used revolutionary technology, or how many polygons the models had, or how many frames per second it ran at. People love it because it made them feel something. To me, it made me feel curiosity, stress, cleverness, fear, wonder, and ultimately accomplishment, and from the moment I saw this ending, I decided I was going to be a video game developer. THAT is what makes it a masterpiece.

Being that this is the first game I actually beat from start to finish, this is the game that actually made me realize that games actually have credit sequences. At the time, I thought that was a thing exclusive to movies so the fact that I was treated to an actual credits sequence, and an entertaining one to boot than most movies even now, when i beat the game for the very first time was something very special to me.
@Boogieboy1382 ай бұрын
I started playing this game when I was a young kid in 1999. I never beat it back then, because it was too complex as a child to really go and beat it in its entirety. I just loved playing this game running around aimlessly, fighting enemies, talking to the people, and just exploring the world around as much as I could, because it was cutting edge back then for its time. Compared to playing 16 bit games on the Sega Genesis and whatnot prior, and going to this, it was very exiciting and mind blowing to play video games like this at that time. I'm proud to have grown up during that time to experience that. It wasn't until I was an older teenager that I took the time to actually play through the entire game and beat it. Kind of similar to Link's adventure in the game starting young, and finishing being older. I grew up with this game, it's part of my childhood, and I happily still pick it up and play it today 20 years later. It's without a doubt my favorite game of all time.

It took me 7 years to beat it because it was a time before the internet and guides, and I was geuinely stuck so many times. Despite this I would explore the landscape to find any secret I could, and talk to people over and over to see if new dialogue happened. Hell I'de just roam around the vast map sometimes, and when it was getting dark I'de always visit the Horses to hear her sing. This game did much more than the devs ever intended for me, but I truly believe it made me a better person.

It's extreamly hard to find this version of the credits with the right timing (other than the GC version as it's pre-rendered), due to the fact that it relied on the game running slow when there was too much happening. The fact that you recorded it on a real N64 is a life saver for ones wanting to edit it correctly with ports (like Ship of Harkinian, as it's mainly putting in long pauses with the credits timing fix, but at least it includes the whole track). This game probably had the biggest influence in my life. Reading through the storyline and understanding exactly what they mean in the dialogue. The courage to take, the fear to overcome, the wisdom to teach, the power to try... experiencing through new environments in the game at the time, reflected on my time leaving home for work and training... The endless quotes they speak that help build character.... like Sheik or the Owl. "Don't feel discouraged." "There will be many hardships for you to come across." The first and best game I repeatedly ended to uncover and find the secrets before the use of the internet to find them.... I was so close, couldn't find the last heart piece and last 7 or 8 skulltulas at the time. I keep trying to figure out how a friend got to end it and still have temple bosses to fight again with all the completed and collected equipment... Master quest was fun to play... along with Majoras Mask... Haven't gotten the chance to try the other zelda games besides OoT and MM. Besides the ninja world of Naruto, a lot of my mindset wishes to be living in a world like Links... The other world I run away to get away from reality. No other game like it 💯💪🏽

I wish Tears of the Kingdom would do a celebration DLC mode, with characters lighting off fireworks, bands playing, bonfires burning, feasts aplenty, and dancing galore all around the kingdom. All the bad guys would be gone. All the destroyed buildings would be repaired. All the holes would be closed. They could add some party quests and minigames. Just a good, chill time.

I remember when I was little my brother used to let me watch him play this game. I remember all the little moments...the boss fight in Water Temple, him trying to get to the Spirit Temple early. I remember when he used to go to Lon Lon Ranch all the time. Good memories. Just writing this gives me a nostalgia overload. He used to play it all the time until life overtook him, and he stopped at the Shadow Temple. I was super sad that chapter of my life and his was over. That was the end of the time I used to watch him play video games. But when I got older, I put all the knowledge of how the game I learned from when he played it to the test and finished this game for him. These credits were bittersweet. The game that propelled me into the gamer I am today I finally finished, but I am still sad to this day that my brother never finished it. I wish he would play it again, and let me watch. For old time’s sake :)

Shigeru is a genius. & for those of you who regard this as their favourite game, you NEED to play Breath of The Wild & others. That child imagination in you hasn’t died. & if it has, this franchise will revive it ❤ & also: what a LEGEND Koji Kondo is. His music for this game (& for Mario) was special. It took me somewhere between a year or a year and a half to beat as a nine year old in 2001. I’ve played a lot of games in the late 1990’s and 2000’s, and I’ve never played a game that ended on such a high yet sad note like this one. The orchestra and arrangement of the music of the soft version of Zelda’s Lullaby as you’re shown the corridors and various empty sections of Hyrule just to transition into Saria’s Song with the people celebrating Ganondorf’s defeat. Such a magical adventure that to this day I haven’t quite found a game that told such an epic story. That ending with the Master Sword resting in the temple of time as the bells ring is truly one of the greatest ways I’ve seen a game end. The GOAT

This game taught me that not all game endings are designed to have you jumping around all happy and bopping to the upbeat music. This was the first ending that did not give me any kind of high. When it was over I was like "wow, what do I do now with all this emotional baggage I've just acquired? Beating a game isn't supposed to feel like this." Yet I knew what I had seen was this profoundly beautiful masterpiece. And I didn't wish to change any of it either. What really got me that first time around was when they revisited the moment young Link and Zelda first meet and you realize how sweet and pure that moment truly was. Then they play Zelda's lullaby and once they put the last thing up on the screen, the music stops. And the image is framed perfectly. And you have that last beautiful image on your screen and silence. Until you turn the game off. They had the perfect touch.

This game was a sad ending finishing playing The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time game and peace was returning to Hyrule when young Link returned and placed the Master Sword back in the pedestal of time after Ganondorf's defeat and the seven sages including Rauru and the others who worked together and sealed away the evil Dark King for good and many upcoming adventures yet to come in the Zelda franchise.

Botw is by far my favorite game ever. but OOT is a masterpiece. a pure masterpiece. There are no glaring weaknesses in the game. OOT is going to be the best part of video game history ever. and it is the best game ever. and yes this is a really unpopular opinion, but it is and always will be better that the overrated game called Minecraft. anyway, OOT was my first Zelda game on my 3ds and i could not beat it for the life of me, i got to water temple that was it. after playing WW and Botw, i decided i wanted to try over with it and my opinions on it have changed drastically. i think it might be that i was more well versed in video game knowledge. But i could not stop playing the game, at all. The story that i was playing through was the best form of writing i had ever seen. The score is the best in video game history by far. and the full atmosphere of it was just outstanding. Oot is going to consistently be the best game ever created for many years to come. Zelda is going to be the best series forever, and thats all i really have to say about it.

@@picklegod4973 I despise it because of what happens to Link. When he goes back to the past, nobody remembers him the same way. He laments not being remembered as a Hero. He lost his chance to be with Zelda. Even if he tried to in the Child Timeline, he doesn't have his title of Hero so nobody would question him ending up with Zelda because of her being royalty. He couldn't find anyone to pass down his skills to. Even Zelda did not remember him the same way based on the intro of Majora's Mask. All the other Link's in the series pretty much get a good ending save maybe the Hero of Time's descendant in Twilight Princess, but The Hero of Time's ending in the three timelines is bad no matter what. Downfall: He was defeated by Ganon (He Died) Adult: He's sent back despite Zelda having feelings for him. Child: Nobody remembers him for being the Hero and is filled with regrets. When i replayed this game a few years (Master Quest version) when I was traveling, I just remember getting to the ending scene and absolutely hating it.

This is why Ocarina of Time is the best game ever made. It may not have the most fun game of all time, but it gave me something that no other game can: hope. I remember being a child. My mother was kind of crazy, so I had a fair bit of trauma, but fortunately my father divorced her before too damage was done. Unfortunately, it was still enough to affect my mindset. I was kind of miserable as a child. I had autism, which meant that grade school was basically hell for me, and I couldn't really figure out why. When I would sit alone on the far side of the playground to avoid the noise, I would always ruminate about how life could be so much better. I would think about adulthood as a reward for persisting through school. Why wouldn't it be? You don't have to go to school, you can eat ice cream for dinner, you can watch r-rated movies, etc. And so I neglected to enjoy my childhood and looked forward to becoming an adult. I turned 18 on March 7th, 2020 (I know, what horrible timing lol). I was finally going to get my reward, and.... I didn't get a graduation ceremony because of covid. I couldn't get my credit card because of covid. I started having to pay bills and buying my own necessities. I had to schedule my own appointments. I had to handle my own insurance, and I had to wait for hours to talk to someone whenever my insurance company was making me go through hoops just to get what is rightly mine. I got fat because I ate whatever I wanted. What's going on? I thought adulthood was supposed to be fun? I thought that the nightmare was over, but it just got worse. Why were America's leaders such idiots? Why were people not abiding by quarantine rules? Why did it get even harder to talk to people? Why am I getting fat? Why am I waiting for three hours to talk to my college about my application just to get no answers? Why is life still hard? I realized that I wanted to go back to being a kid again. But I knew I couldn't. For a while, I hated myself for wasting my childhood looking forward to growing up, but I realized that me doing so was inevitable. When my stepmother and step aunt talked about the tricky things for hours, I didn't understand what they were talking about, all I knew is that I was tired and wanted to go home. I was always going to do what I did. It was inevitable. And that is the worst feeling I have ever felt in my life. I was starting to come to terms with the fact that I would not lead a happy life. And then I played this game. Link's journey through Hyrule is almost uncanny in how much I relate to it. He starts off as an outcast who is mostly isolated from his community. Sure, he has Saria, but seeing how she talks to Link at the beginning of the game makes me think that she sees him as "special". Next thing he knows, he is thrust into a new world. He doesn't get to see the evil that lurks within it however. All he gets to see is the fun and colorful stuff. And then Link wakes up seven years later. The evil he was shielded from has infected everything he cared about. He has a lot of responsibilities to fulfill, a lot of dungeons to clear, all while he has to deal with the fact that he destroyed his own home. But he overcame it. He rose to the occasion and did what he could to make a difference. And so can I. And so can you. Adulthood is definitely a worse experience than childhood, but adults have one thing that children don't: agency. You have the power to find your own path and follow it. For some, that may seem like a curse, but it's really a blessing. No, I'm not going to tell you that you can do anything you set your mind to, but I will tell you that you can try. You may not succeed, but even in failure, you will still be victorious. Just the fact that you found the courage to give it your best shot is a victory in itself. Link definitely didn't save Hyrule. He may have defeated Ganon, but he couldn't undo all of the damage that Ganon caused. That's not what matters though. What matters is that he made the world a better place. You may not be able to fix the world, but you can nudge it in the right direction. You can do what you can to help and inspire others. Even if it doesn't amount to much, it's still incredible to know that it amounted to something. Keep going. Keep pushing through life's tedious problems. You can... no, you WILL make a difference. Even if I don't know you or what you have done, I can guarantee you that I wouldn't be the same without you. You will effect the world even if most people don't notice the change. Make sure you affect it in a good way.
