Zelda games quite literally move the industry forward. There is a reason even other devs shut up and take notes when a new mainline title drops in the franchise and then you see so many games take the dna of the latest Zelda and run with it. For example one of the heads of rockstar once stated that if any dev of any modern 3d game tells you they weren’t inspired by ocarina of time they are lying to you. The titles that the Zelda team puts out are THAT important .

Love how you traversed the world to play this game 😂 Also because I put so many hours in BOTW the only control issues I had was the ability swap being mapped to L instead of (^) so I kept going into items when trying to change what ability I was using. I always look at Zelda games quite critically because I’m a huge fan, but this game blew my mind and I can’t get enough of it. For a switch game and; some games in general it’s a technological marvel. However the performance could use some love. It’s times like this I wish Nintendo would just make a legit PC emulator linked to Nintendo accounts. I get that Nintendo is huge in Japan and not many people have computers but it’s the cheaper option for them instead of making a new switch - plus they could still technically make sales *if* they made an emulator. That way hardcore Nintendo fans could experience 60 fps with no frame drops. They could continue to make handheld devices in the future but still get permanent revenue from people just buying their games for a “switch launcher”.

Throwing weapon doesn't need the right joystick for movement as motion controls are enabled then.

I'm 10 hours deep and I haven't even touched a part of the main quest line yet. There's just so much to see and explore. Absolutely adore this game ❤

creepy vibe? i gotcha. SPOILER. fair warning this is one of those encounters you'd rather not know about but for anyone who wants to read: so i was about 10-20 hrs in roughly. ive come across a few of the new enemies like the horriblins and the aeocudas. (?) im a huge from soft fan and although i try to keep in mind that those are a specific type of game, i still love tough challenges and scary enemies. so i was hoping there would be some of that in tears of the kingdom but wasnt gonna bank on it because theyre clearly very different. well...im running through one of the forests somewhere in the middle of hyrule. everything is quiet besides the music and my footsteps and all of a sudden these HANDS come up from the ground. the skies and everything around me turned red and i hear this screeching or screaming from them. then they charge me and start sapping my hearts. at this point i didnt know gloom perma damaged you. i havent noped out of something that fast in awhile lol. well just a few hours ago that bastard caught me again in the hyrule ruins and i tried fighting them. i have decent gear and had bombs and such stocked up so i gave it a shot and although i was brutalized i managed to do some damage to it and then it retreated back into the ground and left some dark matter. absolutely love this enemy and i hope theres either multiple of them or this is one single enemy thats tracking me down which is so awesome. this game has non stop impressed me at every turn

I haven’t played botw (but I do own it) thinking about just watching a story recap and just playing tears. I know that’s highly unadvisable but I wanna enjoy a game while the ovens hot for once. I actually have spare time now.

@@Wario1382 Yes and no. I’m very nostalgic for the first game, but I was very skeptical about a sequel set in the same open world. There seems to be quite a bit different, plus the new runes make things super interesting.
