Love the magical items series. Since you covered the gem dragons somewhat recently I wanted to suggest the Draconic Shard! A curious little statblock. As a side note. I recently did a story hook for my campaign where Orcus empowered his staff via a Topaz Greatwyrm Draconic shard. Since Topaz dragons have a connection to the negative energy plane. (Yes, I broke the sentience rule on the draconic shard. But it's god damn Orcus!)

Love a good dragon scale mail on a Rouge class. Had a homebrew game with conflict between a green and black dragon. Collected the scales after their clash and then made the most salt inducing set.

Been listening for at least a year since my first mini campaign turned into DMing my own homebrew world with 5 friends in their 30s. Because the scheduling meme is real, I love to come prepared with a rich experience for our weekly game when it happens. I usually listen to the podcast ok spotify in the car or running errands, I find the passive drop of lore across editions and now systems really gets my creativity flowing. When it's time to sit down and actually write for the next encounter or arc, I basically already know what to throw at them and how I'd like to turn it up a notch thanks to you guys! Also, huge fan of FBATS and super quest saga! My world is a little genre bending too, and I'm inspired by how those live plays show how a genres feel can be achieved by tweaking the mechanics, in addition to simple reskins and flavor. Finally, I have a hard time with anxiety and depression. I've found tossing on my headphones and knowing I have a go to podcast where I will learn something and that feels safe and welcoming is a huge help. For the last year that's been the dungeon cast! Thanks for all of your collective hard work, from me and the rest of our table!

I believe my favorite armor is molten bronze skin. Elven chain is also dope. I know it’s probably not the strongest thing but molten bronze skin is just awesome

Gentlemen, I have not played D&D since I was 18 or 19 in the early 90s. I fucking love listening about these things I had never heard of. Thank you for your work.

In reality, I was able to get out of my jousting armor in three minutes. I once squired at a competition in Texas and helped a jouster get fully armored in under 60 seconds.... while on horseback. Also, you REALLY need to get an advisor on earlier editions. I have played every edition since the the red and blue boxes in 81ish. I am volunteering to be a living resource.

I don't mind the whole having to take time to take off and put on armor. What I do mind is that somehow you can't sleep in your armor. I was in the Marine Corps for 8 years and there were plenty of times that I slept in full battle rattle, which was around 50 pounds. If you've been rucking around and/or fighting trust me when I tell you that your equipment is not going to hinder your sleep whatsoever.

Hey I love your show! Here’s a suggestion though. It would add a lot for those of us that watch and not just listen if you would share some images with the descriptions. I’m gonna do my best to throw a thumbs up and a comment on all your shows. I’ve been binging it almost nonstop for the last couple days. So far as I’ve seen you two have the best DND podcast

Elementals have both good and evil lore wise, and as elementals a good fire elemental has to use armor and weapons on their home planes to defeat an evil fire elemental

As far as donning and doffing armor, I pretty much assume you don your armor at the end of a long rest and doff it at the start of a long rest. Beyond that, it's rare that a PC will have any reason to remove their armor during the day, and thus there's no need to don/doff the armor again after a long rest.

I now have the image of my token neutral evil party member painting their Arch Magi Robe white or grey manually to hide their true nature, and that's hilarious. Just a Tsuchar wearing a teifling, in obviously painted robes smiling awkwardly as they try -badly- to cover up the many blatantly evil aligned artifacts they've "acquired" over the years.

Have you done an episode about home brewing magic items? If not I'd love your thoughts on the subject. 10/10 podcast boys. Thanks for what you do.

Hey guys, since you’ve been branching out from 5e for reasons and also have been discussing classic dnd lore, have you guys ever played any OSR systems or would ever make any episodes on one?
