Legendary baseball player, Pete Rose, discussed his background and multiple records in a recent sit-down with VladTV. Known as one of the greatest players of all time, Rose, also referred to as "Charlie Hustle" or "the Hit King," has an impressive history as the all-time Major League Baseball (MLB) leader in hits, a three-time World Series Champion, an MVP winner, and a Rookie of the Year, among other achievements. Rose shared his early life growing up near Cincinnati, Ohio, and how his father's love for sports influenced him. Despite originally favoring football, Rose decided not to go to the University of Tennessee and instead decided to pursue baseball. Throughout the interview, Pete Rose detailed his MLB career, as well as his permanent ban, which caused him to be excluded from the Hall of Fame. To hear more, check out the full interview above.

I got to meet Pete when I was in high school around 1998 or 99. My baseball team was in Florida and we went to his restaurant. When I approached him and told him I was there with my team, he brought us into a private room and talked baseball with us for hours. Afterwards he took pictures with us and waited while our coach went to CVS to print the photos, then Pete signed one for every player. Hes a great guy and deserves to be in the HOF.

He is already in the WWE Hall of Fame. At least one organization recognized the greatness of Pete Rose. Cooperstown and the HOF would see an influx of tourism unlike anything it has ever seen if MLB wakes up and inducts Pete Rose as they should. They just need to do it in such a way that both MLB and Pete Rose can 'save face'. It can and should be done.

I was a big Dodger fan growing up. The Cincinnati Reds were the best back then. Pete Rose was one of the greatest ball players of all time. Always playing tough always hustling. Definite Hall of Fame. No one is perfect he has paid his price for gambling. Elect him to the HOF before he passes. MLB needs to focus on all the years of great baseball he gave to the world.

@@NoName-ge6wc Respectfully, Mantle said, "If I had played my career hitting singles like Pete [Rose], I'd wear a dress." Mantle said this, while admiring Rose for all his years and games. He should admire Rose and his games, Etc. Mantle's drinking and failure to take care of himself cheated himself and his fans, and there was NOTHING manly about that! That said, Mantle was a Big Man in owning up to his drinking problem in the end and in turning to Christ, especially! I've been a lifelong fan of Rose since 1970 (age 7), but Rose has never done that!

I was not a fan of him in the 70's-80's due to a fight he had w/Bud Harrison of the Mets. but he deserves to be in the Hall of Fame without the prejudice of the politics involve w/ the gambling issue. they should let the publics has an opinion/say on that matter.

As a person who grew up in Cincinnati during the Big Red Machine era, I loved listening to those games on 700 WLW and going to Riverfront Stadium to watch them play. I was bummed when Pete was traded to the Phillies, but was happy when he won a World Series with them. I was there on September 11th, 1985, when he broke Ty Cobb's hit record. Probably ( in my opinion) the best person, information, greatest interview I've watched you do. I've always admired Pete Rose. I have so much more admiration and respect for him having witnessed this show. What a dedicated, intense competitor. A great American spirit in the America I grew up in. His respect and admiration of the people he played against, with. A great man. Thank you and thank Pete, for this experience. And thank God for Pete Rose.

PETE ROSE WAS FROM A DIFFERENT ERA OF BASEBALL , HE IS NOT IN BECAUSE HE PISSED THE WRONG PEOPLE OFF !!! PEOPLE ARE HUMAN AND DO MAKE MISTAKES !!! NONE OF THE JUICERS DESERVE TO BE INDUCTED THEY LIED AND CHEATED , HOW DO YOU MEASURE OR COMPARE PETE ROSES SITUATION, IF THEY DID’NT LIKE HIM OR JUST SWEPT HIM UNDER THE CARPET ITS VERY SUSPICIOUS !!!

HALL OF FAME NOW!!! Charlie Hustle is my favorite player ever. When I was 10 I found a Pete Rose Louisville Slugger in my grandmas basement and asked my dad who he was. Started reading about Pete and watching Reds games on TV. I was the kind of kid who always put in my all. And when I read about how hard he played he was #1 in my book. Then I got to see him set most hits ever in 85 and that mede me love baseball more. My son just started Baseball a month ago. I showed him some Pete Rose videos and my Pete Rose card collection. Yesterday his coach came up to me and told me my son said Pete Rose is his favorite player. Said that was really cool and was glad I taught him who Pete Rose is. He said if your gonna set goals might as well them high. How ironic - thats exactly what Pete said in this interview.

I have had the honor of meeting a few sports legends but no one was like meeting Pete Rose & Ted Williams. Both of those great players spent 20 to 30 minutes just talking baseball and you could see in their eyes they were enjoying it as much as I was. Gale Sayers was great too as long as you liked hearing Sayers stories lol.

He is in the 1000th group of best major league baseball players. WE ALL enthusiastic fans know he is an hall of famer and accomplished all his feats , numbers , records without cheating the opposition with scientific chemicals. HE WORKED HARD AND DIDNT HAVE ALL THE PHYSICAL TALENT OTHERS HAD.. BUT HE WORKED HARD TO GET THERE.

Pete you are definitely the man , I watched or listened to every game you played for the Phillies, I couldn’t believe you left the Reds and signed with the Phillies. You were a very big part one major contributor when they won the World Series, thank you for that. You are in my hall of fame , don’t care about politics of baseball. Look at the B. S. We’re dealing with the crap in our government that we’re dealing with and our president will get the Nobel Peace Prize for farting as he goes up the stairs of Air Force One. You were the most hard working baseball player in history with the attributes that you were dealt with. I am your size, your upper body strength and ability to just get on base was incomparable. You were and are the Man!!

Grew up watching the big red machine in the 70’s , I remember seeing insert cards of him before him being a red , I never knew any other Team him playing for at that time, I wonder if those cards I would see in my packs were him playing in that league he spoke of in the beginning from Dayton, Oh😂😂😂😂 As a kid I would think to myself “ I don’t want no card of him not in a reds uniform,”😂😂😂😂 I’m from Dayton, I use to say to myself Pete Rose is just a hour a way as a kid , How ironic is it he’s been to Dayton and played baseball here… Said all that to say this He’s a Icon to a generation of kids him sliding head first was the coolest thing to see as a kid , He would also destroy a catcher at home plate like nobody’s business … stealing second from first was his patented skill for him, when he singled you almost expect for him to take second base, and he did .. seeing him as young young man when I was kid makes you appreciate him so much more all these years later…Thanx Pete for being the awesome player you were🐐🐐🐐💪🏾💪🏾🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾✌🏾✌🏾

I loved how, when playing 1st base, Pete would spike the ball at the edge of the pitcher's mound while running towards the dugout after the last out of an inning. He is correct in his assessment of Ichero and the Japanese League
