Manny Pacquiao announced his retirement from boxing yesterday, ending a career in which he won 12 world titles. The 42-year-old was the only 8-division champion in boxing history, getting big-time victories over Miguel Cotto, Oscar De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton and Keith Thurman, not to mention his high-profile loss to Floyd Mayweather in 2015. Hear what Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe have to say about Pacquiao's legendary career.

Pacman, actually started pro at 16 years old at 98 pounds to be more exact. Most boxers would loose weight to have the advantages aganist opponents.. pacman did the opposite.. he was under weight so he stuff rocks, or w.e he can find so he can weight more in order to qualify for his matches... That's greatness. It's just crazy...

True, cause not many with that many losses including losing a one sided loss to his rival , getting literally spit to sleep in the ring as well as stopped by body shots get considered goat status. Not many get respected for making excuses after each and every single one of his 8 losses. But hey whatever. Manny Pac is legendary top 20 all time in my book. Just don’t like a lot about him. When fighters don't fight each other, it's not always a sign of ducking. In fact, more often than not it's just that they aren't able to work out the details. There are promoter contracts, scheduling conflicts, fighters moving up and down in weight etc. I mean Crawford and Soto called out Pac and he said no. Freddie Roach even said in an interview that he had to refuse Sugar Shane twice because Pac wouldn't have been able to beat him at that age. Canelo said he'd fight Pac at a catch weight. Paul Williams said that he would go back down to 147 to make a Pacquiao fight happen. None of those fights happened even though we wanted to see them as fans. That's not necessarily ducking, things just don't always work out. Heck for the longest time PacMan rarely fought anyone outside of Top Rank.

When he say fight he mean war.. That was the thing that was made him famous than mayweather.. You know he will come to you and no running.. Even somebody he beat old but he beat young too.. You don't appreciate the man cause it is covering your mayweather.. Killing boxing right now like making old boxer fight.. Fight youtuber.. Fight clowns.. As a boxing fan.. I don't wanna see legend around 50 years old and above get knocked out..

Cherry picking? Pacquiao fought most opponents after Floyd beat them and still got credit. He beat an old De La Hoya years after Floyd beat him. He fought Cotto at a catch weight and Floyd fought Cotto at his normal weight. He fought Shane Mosley years after Floyd beat him. Who’s the true cherry picker?

Your very very misinformed Mayweather offered pac a contract in 2009 and manny wouldn’t do it because of the drug testing because he was “scared of needles” even though he has tattoos lmao and then he wouldn’t fight him because he wanted a 50/50 split and they couldn’t agree on the money but manny wouldn’t do the drug test
@hakshustletv

That never happened lol, Mayweather was ready to fight, Pac & Bob Arum didn't want the fight because they weren't willing to get drug tested, cut it out. Idk how the media has allowed this narrative to be pushed. He also wanted an unrealistic amount for Floyd when Floyd was clearly A side at the time.

Floyd will be remembered as the greatest defensive fighter and the richest but in 20 years it will be PACQUIAO's name that will be spoken and remembered as one of the greats! 50-0 with one being an asterisks against 8 division champ and 5 lineal championship a philanthropist, a boxer who changed the culture and gave respect back to boxing. a boxer that not only just gave back to his country and people but the world over, a boxer that is internationally recognized for his work in and out of the ring !!!!! You must not be a boxing fan. This simply isn't true. Both parties are to blame, and at least on two occasions, it's all on Manny. Refused drug testing, and didn't want to split the purse 50/50 with Mayweather. He wanted the majority during that round of negotiations. Manny is a top tier legend. But let's not pretend he fought everbody either
