People saying "not enough to beat Kovalev" don't forget he's already beaten him twice before they turned pro, yes it's different rules etc, but BeterBiev has already beaten Travis Cloud, Campillo, ani unbeaten Jeff page, he didn't just beat him, he murdered them. Apart from a flash knock down vs Page (which he wasn't even fazed and came back str8 away) he's looking fantastic. I'm not saying he wins or loses, but cmon guys, this guy is 31 and has fought many more fights (amature in that time) He's clearly a beast, clearly no one other than Kovalev, Ward can beat this guy based on his cv and his ability shown.

Beterbiev is interesting. Powerful up close right out of the clinch, very similar to Guido Vianello who's about to make his pro debut at hw out of big bear. Good corkscrew style punching from under. He has that Carl Froch style spring with his weight transfer to his left hand and it comes from under. That's how he caught Cloud.

He is the best in the division and will stay there for a long time. I really like his all business style, he sticks to his opponent's chest and beats them up giving them no running room and breathing space. One of his really good abilities is to keep perminently engaged.He will beat Kovalev especially now after the 2 Ward losses,Ward has now retired that leaves Stevenson who has the best chance because of his one punch power but I see him being broken down and Bivol won't be able to handle him.
