I think one of my favourite eras of snooker was when hendry started commentating. Especially on ronnie. I always assumed there was such bitter rivalry, but when hendry started complimenting Ronnie's game and shot choice, I started warming to hendry, and I find when I need technical, break building expert knowledge in my commentary, I prefer hendry. And the more I watch the more respect I have for the best 2 players to play the game

No doubt they were fierce rivals, but they always had the utmost respect and admiration for each other. When Ronnie walked out after being 4-1 behind to Hendry at the 2006 UK championship, Hendry was interviewed right after. He could so easily have slammed Ronnie, but he didn't.
