I have played a bunch of completely pacifist game where I never declared a single war. They just are not as popular because… well it’s just 15 hours of city planning then. People enjoy the ridiculousness of the constant war declarations so I generally do that.

I also have to always add. I am a terrible domination player. My ability to be in a position where that does not matter makes up a lot for my impatience and unwillingness to do the extra steps needed to get the higher combat modifiers and troop assortments.

I just wanted to point out that the information that they posted about the challenge was wrong. The game speed is actually Epic, not Marathon. It doesn't have a turn limit either.
