From what I've seen these things are incredible. A real paradigm shift in the sound quality for guitar. What I would like to see going forward Is the ability to record the sound you are hearing from these? If they can take that virtual sound and make it recordable. That will be awesome.

My wife bought me these headphones for Xmas and they are amazing. I've been using the Vox AP2AC for years for quiet (aka middle of the night with a bottle of Jim Beam ) practice and the difference is unreal. The price of these things is more than value for money and if they're good enough for Vai & Malmsteen - My missus has picked up a bargain.

Boss actually wasn’t the 1st to do this, well as a practice amp yes but KLANG was actually the company who did this 3D placement technology in its IEM hardware and software. It’s been around for a few years now, allowing you to set up an IEM mix that feels like you aren’t really wearing IEM’s but just on stage without monitors, yet the volume of everything including vocals is adjustable and you hear everything clear and like it’s coming at you from the same points it’s positioned on stage, and if you turn.....it adjusts with you.

Wanmohan If you take Pokemon as an example, TM in the English language version of the games vs WM in the Japanese versions: TM = Technical Machine WM = Waza Machine Seeing as these devices teach new techniques to Pokemon it is a no brainer that the meaning in Pokemon is ‘technique’ at least. Chinese characters in Japanese often have the same meaning but not all the time so you need to be careful. A lot of time has passed and a lot of politics since the early days of usage in Japan!!

Wouldn't it be nicer to build headphones with speakers that have a frequency response close to a guitar speaker? Impulse Responses are cool but they give you the sound of a mic'd cabinet. These 3D room sounds, I usually always switch them off (Yamaha THR10). Can't imagine that power chords sound decent in a simulated room effect.

It didn't make sense until you explained the surround sound feature. I was thinking that they were dramatically over acting (turning their heads and laughing like they have never seen a pair of headphones before) but i will admit that if you aren't expecting the sound to change when you turn your head, you will react to it.

Weird and entertaining demo, though the thumbail is slightly clickbait. I wish SV and YM have a good sense of humor 😅

When I practice I need my real amp and my pedals at a decent volume. I find that I play differently true a real amp. The guitar starts to create kind of a life of his own at certain volumes. I even have the feeling that it starts playing me in stead of me playing her. I have the helix and helix native I thought it would be great for practicing. But I fret differently and also pick differently. Also a very important factor for my practicing routine is switching between sounds. IMHO you should practice on what you gig with full gear.

What about latency with the Bluetooth? Also is there any latency with the IMU (or extra noise in the system) when turning your head?

So you’re saying that now I can practice my guitar AND not have to hear anyone else in the house throwing their fits! Sign me up for two pairs (in case the wife brakes one).

Okay now I can practice quietly 24/7. But I have already my trusty Boss chorus pedal can I link it to this device or another effect board?
