Великие дирижёры 50-х 60-х, ну и оркестры звучали соответственно...тоже , как великие, пока не услышали , и не увидели настоящих ВЕЛИКИХ! Да и просто заурядных, но западных, которые дают фору нашим "великим"--на раз!

Never heard of him. I guess he was primarily a Soviet academic conductor and I can't recall ever seeing a Western recording by him, unlike, say, Mravinsky. But this is a nice, robust performance.

he wasnt big at all as a conductor. his pupils are a different story. google it. Gergiev, Courrentzis...
