I was raised by a Christian paster, and deep within... I rejected original sin and I asked how God could be a He - what am I - a little girl. Why is God He and not Her? The woman was presented as the reason Adam sinned!! Apparently my young soul was aligned more with African religions. This is such a good interview.

Most important question, why did he walk away from the ministry? All that story about his nightmare, to what his grandfather imposed on him, just to walk away, and you didn’t let him say why ? Why ?
@emkhet7924
@emkhet7924 Жыл бұрын
I for one don't care why he left the ministry. As a former christian myself, Chester probably left the ministry after realizing that it was nothing more than a means to keep black Americans and Africans in bondage or a mental prison. But for one to come to that conclusion, one must experience a multitude of things in life...

@@Nkosi766 ha, ha, you got me😅. No but seriously though, listening to the whole interview, I’ve shared similar experiences such as Chester. And frankly talking to other former Christians, they themselves walked away from the religion for their own reasons. But it usually involves a person experiencing certain events outside of the religion. But that’s my take on this interview.
@Nkosi766

@@emkhet7924 you must admit it’s always interesting and of some importance to know why people walk away from their faith. It’s not an easy thing to do . I wasn’t a believer of Christianity but I was a Rasta for many years, which is just replacement Christianity . Me not believing the Bible or Christianity comes from actually reading the Bible. why I gave up Rastafarian and religion is totally different. Anyway thanks for sharing your de-conversion, it’s important to someone battling with leaving faith behind
@emkhet7924
@emkhet7924 Жыл бұрын
@@Nkosi766 oh so you were a Rasta? To walk away from that must have been very difficult for you. I’ll admit, everyone’s experience in walking away from their faith is different. For some, such as yourself, it must have been difficult. For me however it was as easy walking from my bedroom to the bathroom. But that’s my experience. I have an iron will. Like yourself, I read the Bible also, but that didn’t expedite my decision to walk away from the religion. It was experiencing certain things that I witnessed within the religion itself. And around 21 years old I was none with not only christianity but all religions. Now after experiencing the mysteries of life, death, universe, and a lot of research, I’ll have just a mere thought and the answer to my question will come. Plus I’ve studied under several wise teachers in which case help to me to craft my mindset. That’s why I’m this interview with Chester Higgins, I was more fascinated with his life experiences over him leaving the ministry.

The Egyptian and Greek concepts were completely different and for the Egyptians, if your heart was devoured because it did not balance on the scales of Ma'at, you ceased to exist. There was no concept of hell as Christians came to know it.

The ark is in Ethiopia, but no one can see it. Nice story , 😂. Now tell the truth about Jews in Ethiopia.
@Nkosi766
@Nkosi766 Жыл бұрын
Deeper dive into this ark in Ethiopia story. The ark is a bible story, so what does the Bible say? Last we saw Josiah ordered the ark be placed in the temple, before the Babylonian destruction. The ark was never spoken of after the return, you can check the arch of Titus and see what was taken from Jerusalem.( note the Jews are not blk people depicted on the arch) We don’t know who wrote the Bible but we know who and when the kebra nagast was written. We know Ezana was a son of a god before he converted to Christianity, we have Ezana stele, we have nothing about an ark. There’s no land called Sheba in the history of the world, there’s however Seba, in Arabia. Seba has connections with early Axum, yes. Axum was a 4th century bce settlement of Sabaean , most likely. The Kebra nagast is but a spin off of an insignificant bible story of a queen intended to highlight the wisdom of Solomon. If the ark was being placed in the temple in the time of king Josiah, how could menelik ( not historical) taken it from Solomon, over 300 years before and taken it to Ethiopia/ Axum Which wasn’t of any significance until 4th century when Ezana converted to Constantine’s world religion?
