Also Selassie got arms from Winston Churchill - which he relayed to the rebels who were constantly attacking Mussolini's troops on Addis Ababa's outskirts during the 5 year siege (2nd Italian invasion). Selassie marched into Addis triumphant as the rebels decimated the fascists, thus defeating Italy twice. They even had to pay Ethiopia over 25 million pounds in reparations.

You could find black men with chains around their necks like livestock, in Ethiopia up to the 80’s . The British force Selassie to end slavery of Africans when they returned him to his throne. He did it only on paper, the dreg ended slavery in reality, instituting land reform by force from the church and the landlords.
