Character flaws are a key component of what makes a tragedy inevitable, and I feel Sigurd's retrospective on his life points out in a meta-sort-of-way one major aspect I've seen people neglect when they argue stuff like "if x had (not) done y, nothing would have gone wrong". Like yes, bad stuff would have probably been prevented in that case, but at that point, to make that happen, the character would need to become a *completely* *different* person. In that sense, I think Sigurd not regretting being true to himself is very much commendable and unappreciated, while also highlighting that's the exact point of a tragedy to begin with.

He maybe annoying Feh and hate with every ounce of my being but he is a good character overall I see why he is liked by most people in feh hopefully they do release some kind of remake for it so I can get a better perspective though I do hope they take out the pursuit skill I don't like relying on a skill that allows me to double when the unit I'm using is already fast enough double naturally I would get A lot more if the unit slow but if the unit is fast they shouldn't need to rely on a skill that allows to do it when they can on their own

The irony of Sigurd's story is though it ends in tragedy it was ultimately Sigurd's actions that lead to the world having a means of fighting back against the Loptuous sect.

Sigurd is both a deconstruction of the ideal chivalrous brave knight without fear, which strenght and virtues end up undermining him and leading to his death against more politically experienced opponents, but also a reconstruction of the archetype, since these exact virtues serve as an inspiration and model for his son and others people, fuelling them to defeat the bad guys forever.

@@MrGksarathy Brigid made a pact indeed, due to Eyvel's ending card stating that her memories were lost due to a Geas. A Geas (from Irish Mythology) is basically like an Oath or Vow, or in this case, a Blood Pact with their respective Dragon God. May not always be consensual however, but they're still bound by it.

Both this Sigurd and the previous Sigurd are summoned to Askr after his death...along with quite a few of the FE4 gen one units. In the Doorway to Destiny Tempest Trial, that much is said. This was a really nice overview of Legendary Sigurd. 😀

Definitely enjoying this series 😁 I can't say I have any idea who you could do next, but I know you'll do great 😊 As for my thoughts on Sigurd. . .my only interactions with him are through FEH, and from that I've found him to be a gallant, passionate, and loyal man worthy of the praise he's given. I also enjoyed seeing the softer side of him with his beloved in their duo unit conversation (if you haven't seen that yet, I highly recommend it. Gives me warm fuzzy feels every time 🥰) My only regret, was failing to summon him on his legendary debut banner. But there will be other chances.

Sigurd has huge Jonathan Joestar vibes, and that's a good thing. Yeah, Jonathan didn't suffer the tragedy of impulsiveness, but their stories do match up in other ways. I also disagree that Sigurd and Deirdre's meeting wasn't fated in any sense. It may not have been Manfroy's 4-D chess scheme, but some higher power, or Fate itself was responsible for their love at first sight, especially considering that the Maiden of the Spirit Forest was prophecied to cause calamity if she ever left, which she did, and her mythical inspiration was also destined to cause disaster thanks to her beauty.

Crusaders/FE4 dragons (save Naga as it's one and the same as FE1/3/Awakening) would be nice mystics/etc as opposed to various OCs. Though it makes me wonder how Forseti would appear, either his dragon form or as a sup'd up Lewyn. I sort of see L.Sigurd as a sort of "Idealized" take on him compared to the more mundane take that is regular Sigurd as both are post death. I suspect on some level, he was seen as a number of things due to how he managed to conquer much. But mentally, he's the same as regular Sigurd in being aware of the negatives of his life. It's an exception of normal and legendary as unlike most legendary units, Sigurd never got an ending of triumping ultimately/ruling in peace. Instead his end was a testament to the killer BBQs Arvis could throw. As far as next entry? Dimitri in his takes would be interesting as each version pulls from so much. The 3H lord units are pretty interesting in this regard IMO.

Man, I can't wait for the day I see Fire Emblem Echoes: Jugdral Saga (or something like that) on a Nintendo Direct or E3 trailer. Though I think IS knows that Jugdral is pretty much the equivalent of FF7 to many Fire Emblem fans. The remake would have to be good and relatively faithful as well, with some new changes that won't be too bad, like maybe make it easier on foot units to move across maps... or maybe split each mission into subchapters, like 1-1, 1-2, 1-3, etc...

It is obviously Manfroy who manipulated this whole situation by: •Kidnapping Dierdre in Chapter 3 •Inflicting an Amnesia Spell on her in the same chapter, same cutscene •Leaving her unconscious near the ground, a place where Arvis just "so happened to be at the right time". •Never telling Arvis about this because the whole point of Arvis is that he is being manipulated by Manfroy but he does not know it yet If Arvis knew any of this, his motivation would be incredibly sick and twisted, which is definitely not what the story is going for. I think you might have gotten some misinfomation or confused because I am pretty sure Arvis never knew Dierdre was Married to Sigurd and only Married Dierdre by "an unnatural" chance, which fits better with the theme of FE4 as Sigurd also falls in love with Dierdre with Natural Chance.

I disagree with the statement that arvis was manupilated by manfroy in gen 1, that holds water in gen 2 but not in gen 1. Arvis was the driving factor of story, that led to manfroy slowly gaining power and influence over jugdral, to the point where he overpowered arvis. Aside from kidnapping deidre and brainwashier her, manfroy did very little to infleunce the story of gen 1

There are many story lines that inply The Loptyr cult manipulated Jugdral to go to war. Manfroy Manipulated Chaggal to kill is father and become the King of Agustria. A Loptyr cult member Goes to manfroy to confirm the death of Prince Kurth. The fact that the Loptyr cult were spying in the war shows that they probably planned the ear in the very beginning. While Langbalt/Lombard confirms he was the one that killed Kurth, The way the Isaach/Granvalle war Started is suspected to be the Loptyr Cult the ones who started it, by killing The isaach king when he was going to Darna for a peace treaty but was assasinated on the way (This is the conversation you get with Quan/Ayra in Chapter 1) and if you look at Chapter's 7 map, the Yied shrine is very close to the main road. There is also Chapter 1 where Sandima, a Dark Priest that talks to Manfroy, manipulated Verdane to be Hostile to Granvalle while they are weaken in order to cause ruckus in hopes to find Dierdre. The conflicts that have no involvement with The Loptyr cult are Sillese's Civil war (Chapter 4), The Orgahil Pirates pillaging Agustria in Chapter 3, Gandolf/Munnich Invading Granvalle and kidnapping Aideen/Aidean; The Agustrian nobles pillaging Agustria, and The entirity of chapter 5.
