Crawford is a tactical beast with hard fists that blurrs from a distance. A terrific fighter on the inside and a cannibal with an instinct to devour at the slightest opportunity. Very elusive and settles fast into a fight. Crafty with both hands. Had overcome some of the best fighters.

Broke his eye socket in the fight, now anytime it gets touched slightly is swells up immediately. Becoming a “shot fighter” happens to every fighter the timing depends on how much damage you’ve taken in your career as to when you become “shot.” Brook fought GGG and Spence back to back. Two huge punchers and great fighters. Confidence could be a huge part but it’s also the body being broken down.

When crawford misses with wide (made to look even wider because of unnatural long arms) hooks first 3-4 rds its really not a miss. He took down info for the next time that common opp movement patern happens again. Those wide hooks turn into heat seeking missiles once he gets the right timing and distance. Its all about momentum transfer. Understanding the science of the physics involved. Follow a third times a charm rule; if they do it a third time, itll be a habit (mostly, theres deceivers) and come up with possible positioning and punch selection to at least react in a logical calculated way that has at least one way out. Mess with their fov with feints that turn into stiff arms mid retraction to mess witb their view and take notes on their reaction and use those to mask a committed right hand a lil later for example. I love boxing.

Brooks punch resistance has gone. The right hand that wobbled him was nothing more than a stiff jab but with the right hand, as he was in the south paw stance. Brook must retire now. If you can't take a jab it's over!!! Such a shame because a few years ago no-one wanted to fight Brook @ Welterweight as he was too dangerous. He had to go up 2 weight classes just to get a decent fight and was obviously going to find it tough against the best fighter in the world at that time in GGG. Having said that he gave GGG more trouble than anyone had until that point! That defeat weakened Brook enough so a pristine Errol Spence JUST got the better of him in a war! Brook's career as much as any, proves in boxing that getting the right fights at the right time can define your career and sadly when you are 1% less than the fighter you once were, it's the difference between victory and defeat!

Hes had problems landing the elites yes but the fact is his resume is very good hell his last 16 straight fights have been against top 5-10 contenders in 3 divisions, but yes at 147 his best wins are older Brook though with Brooks crushing of Khan this win is updated somewhat, a still very game Porter thats a top level win, and while he wasn't a great champ Horn still did beat Pac so Horn to was at that short time top welter, but yes crawford needs Spence/Ugas winner. but his resume is still very good and well above average he just has had bad luck at landing other elites at 147 past few years is all, but that does not mean his overall resume is bad cause its anything but.

His "elite" wins to date most which took place at 135-140 as in wins that can be classified as great or borderline/ elite were Burns who at the time was top guy at 135 or top 3 and riding a 7 year+ undefeated streak, Postal who was undefeated, and of course Gamboa who was smaller yes but at that time still one of the biggest nam4es in the division if not sport and undefeated! and then now Porter! so Crawford officially has 4 elite wins, and about what 12-14 additional wins on top of those against solid top 5-10 contenders in 3 weight classes.....so does he still need a Spence/Ugas preferably both maybe Taylor when he moves up or if he does absolutely, but is his resume not good hell no thats pure nonsense, again anyone with a resume that has 4 elites on it, and a dozen+ solid top 10 contenders has a very good resume, its just gonna need some more rival elites is all to truly cement a genuine ATG type of legacy is all and will see if that happens, he is what 33 years old now or 34 so getting up there, as for Spence frankly at best both sides seem to have been avoiding eachotehr all this time, so thats on both of them at least equally if not one side more- depending who your a bigger fan of/which side one believes more, so hopefully Crawford gets Spence/Ugas winner or hell even loser frankly but ideally winner obviously, then after that face anyone left rated top 5 at 147 and then maybe a Taylor coming up from 147 or go to 154 and face as many top guys there as can to close out a career and complete a great legacy overall. But my overall point is people should not mistake a " this resume could/should be better" with it being somehow bad or awful, nothing could be further from the truth even with Crawford's either bad luck/bad management / being avoided whatever it is at 147 the fact remains even though his overall resume as is could be better for sure, that does not mean it isn't very very good as is, because the truth is Crawford's last 17 straight consecutive opponents faces! in succession have all ben at bare minimum legit top 10 rated, with the "elite" wins among them being again undefeated Gamboa/Postal/ Burns/ followed by elite wins over Porter and a top level win over Benavidez and older but still tough Brook, then on top of those guys some 10 other solid top 10 contenders. that is a damn good resume, it just could be better if he wants to go down as a all time great great yes.

The GGG fight was the beginning of the end for Brook. Permanent damage done. Those shots he took from a heavy handed Middleweight monster like GGG destroyed his career. He was never the same after that. He did great against Spence but you can tell his punch resistance wasn't the same anymore. He was damaged goods. Crawford just ended his career.
