Nice playthrough...kind of wonder how often a U-boat sent 4 torps at a small freighter though....I'm reading Silent Victory and not seeing it.

Well, I think it also might be a matter of opportunity reflected in the abstractions of the game - perhaps the small freighter was right in front when they looked through the periscope, and they thought it would be better to get something than nothing?

Yes, it is a similar game experience to that. It has some really neat aspects to it, as you are the escorts of the convoy, not the U-Boat trying to sink it

Nice video, but you don’t get air support from the liberators until later on and when you roll for it. Early on, it’s just the cam ships and they’re only good for warning off condors

. And don’t forget to roll for duds with any of the torpedo hits.

Narrated like this, the game appears quite enjoyable. But having to learn it ... ?!?

The rulebook is ok, but there will be lots of rules checking and chart checking, which I cut out of the video to spare viewers their sanity. But it is a neat game, and quite interesting as a procedural game.
