I'm from here, born and raised in Phoenix, as a kid lived in Prescott. My brother and as born there and m dad was born in Phoenix. Our rustic redone cabin is near Prescott in the Bradshaw and is part of an old mine. Anything in there is not gonna be much and the land would have to be ruined to do it plus it would take a lot of money to hire a he machinery and all that. It would cost more to get it out than by cost put into it more than what would get out. Other neighbors have a state in it too. The person who owned it was as going to dig up it but we all protested it and they gave up and sold cheaply the shares to all the he neighbors who are above that mine. It's very fa into the mountains and mostly bumpy dirt roads not a good idea in winter only the pages road from Prescott is accessible but the snow plower still goes up after snow is gone and fix a it as in plows it and removes any rocks that will damage cars or trucks. People use their cabins in spring and summer up there and they complain to the city about it when it gets too bad then they do something and fix it. They got tired of us complaining and now after snow melts they start up keeping the dirt roads do people can access their places. It's nice to go up but in summer too much fire danger. Once we had to leave due to a fire a Mike or so away . My dad had a backhoe up there to fix some of our driveway and other things like some big rocks out of it. We were watching a movie at night and got a knock on the cabin porch door. Forest service said where the fire was and if we wanted we could stay it wasn't close yet. Dad was a fireman when we lived in Prescott he said he wanted to see where it was so went down below and drive to where he could look as well as from up on our mountain and saw smoke he said it's not real close but I don't think we will get much sleep so we're leaving. We had to go a back way to get to Prescott. After this we were all stressed due to adrenaline. After all the fire had been taken care of our cabin and neighbors all on the mountain we are on was good the fire never hit near it was far enough away and forest fire service got it out. It is as two mountains over and there as going fast but they got it out. It was close enough to make us stressed and upset as in will we have a place to go to and it's my great great gram and granpas they were the first owners when it was a two round cabin with no water and no electricity. Had wood burning stove and outside barn groom as in our houses two of them plus roof water runoff with a meshed bucket drum, a metal drum attached to the roof with a pipe down to it so we could scoop out the water in a small bucket after nesh is lifted off and put it in a teapot on wood stove and boul it. My mom dad me and brother not yet born but due soon then lived in the cabin in the sixties for several weeks before the snow was to come and dad went to town for food that was scary noone for mikes. At that time not many cabins were there but now they are all over the place. I was scared what if Mom has my brother what do I do and will we live will he make it back that is dad. He did it all worked out. I'll never forget that, we moved into Prescott after that before it snowed. Dad barely made it it was snowing and we got out before it snowed real deep. We moved back to Phoenix after seven years there. I would like to move back but around Prescott not in the front though cause of summer fire danger. Sorry this is long I just wanted to share what I needed to. thanks for all the vids you share. My step fam dad and step mom we all have hiked into the he Superstitions and canoed but I'm not sure if where it was don't recall was long time ago.

Can relate, went on a trip with step siblings, dad and step mom yo canyon lau vin a mini Winnie motor home as a teen years ago im 59 now. On Easter weekend we as in kids sleit outside under the sta s and ut in as rinfy cold and very rainy. We got soaked the awning got damaged that's why. We had to get inside so my step mom and dad were getting what toweks thru had to dry us off and we were soaked even our socks and shoes were wet and muddy. We got toweks what could find for time what drt. We had no clean clothes so had to stay in what had. My dad says at two am were leaving now and went to Denny's to eat had a lot of people giving us weird looks so what we needed hit fiud and drinks like cocoa. Our trip wasn't totally like yours but it was not fun either except the day before that happened it was calm we don't d not get wind real bad til Easter Sunday. That's when we should have left that night but roughed it out and did not sleep much. Everything was wet and the inside of the Minnie motorhome my dad had been leading to buy and had paid the first payment to buy it and it was wet inside a little bit not bad. When got it dried used carpet cleaner and was like new again. The awning has to be fixed, dad tried to while was raining in us but got wet too it was just a not so good ending if that trip. We still had some fun though we had seem Easter Lily's by the shore never seen this there before on other trips. Also across the lake in the walls of the canyon there are crosses like in one of your vids where you are in the water and are same in the wall. That was cool but now we know it has to do with what you were looking for cause it's in the Superstitions a small part of it.

I think everyone has a story of a miserable outing where nothing goes right, it’s a domino’s effect of misadventures and a cascade of problems that overwhelm the senses, leaving a person frustrated and miserable and despite all the many very successful trips and events we seem to be usually are more likely to remember the miserable details of bad trips with every specific negative details you would like to forget but you just can’t. When you are miserable down to the core of your being, that misery gets burned in deep and try as you may You can never shake those horrible events and encounters. Great Story Wayne. Happy 2021! Looking forward to many more stories to come.

Charles M. Clark once followed Waltz from Clarks cabin in Mormon flat all the way to Tortilla Flat before Waltz told him he'd kill him if he ever followed him again. Waltz then continued eastward on the Apache Trail until he made a right turn into either Peter's Canyon or Fish Creek Canyon. I'm not sure which yet. 😂😂😂🤷♂️
@legendofthesuperstitionmou9693 жыл бұрын
Doubtful. Dick Holmes had the same exact story It is doubtful either story is true
@Mike_Davidson3 жыл бұрын
@@legendofthesuperstitionmou969 Yep Dick too. How many people would have wanted to follow him though including me and you? Haw many places did buy stuff using gold? How many men go into those mountains alone back then? 🤷♂️

@@legendofthesuperstitionmou969 Waltz specifically mentions a roofless house inside a cave with the entrance facing North and which is on the East side of the canyon along with the rock face looking East staring at his mine less than a mile "DOWN" the canyon from the house cave. Everything is on the East side of this canyon. Waltz was giving directions coming to his mine from the North, off the Apache Trail headed downward from North to South.
@Mike_Davidson3 жыл бұрын
@@legendofthesuperstitionmou969 Anyone looking to find Waltz's mine *HAS* to approach the area from the North headed South off the Apache Trail exactly as Waltz described it. All the markers face to the North. *Coming from ANY other direction is a monumental waste of time unless you're already well familiar with the mines location.*
@Mike_Davidson3 жыл бұрын
@@legendofthesuperstitionmou969 Forget every map ever drawn or etched in stone. There's a side profile of a mans head facing North and looking due East into a box canyon or box ravine that opens to the West off of the North/South running trail. The mine is at the back of this very short canyon or ravine at a cliff wall or steep slope facing due West.
