Treemen lords are pretty pointless as they cannot capitalize on waywatchers being so far ahead of the line. You either get a glade lord on an eagle and just drag a forest dragon around until said glade lord gets his own dragon mount unlocked

Yes in 3 campaign (over 100 turns) as Empire, Queen Khalida, and Norsca... they always destroyed by Grimgor Ironhide or Skaven... before 100...

I actually see them succeed quite often, but that's probably because I usually play as the Empire or VC, and they take advantage of the carnage I leave in their area. I mean, their territory is usually tempting, but they're a reliably non-threatening faction that can act as a fantastic buffer, so I usually leave them alive to do as they wish.

That's a great point, the wood elves' homeland should absolutely be slow to walk through. That's kind of the point of a faction like that - the only reason they survived into this universe without walls is, presumably, because something _seriously_ impedes any invasions. The forest actively protects them or something, idk.

@@tyhy1 Yeah could be and a couple of SYDC where done like that and Legend saw it (like 1 of Med 2) but with Warhammer you can litteraly see your exaxt progress true the turns. So I would think that since its so easy to check people wouldn't try to hide it. In any case he survived for 200 turns so he can't be a total noob, but he might just not know you can't rectuit anything (beside regiment of renown) if you lose Athel Loren. So since this is a very unique feature he might just not have realised how grave of a mistake this was.

"forest stalkers" do get a bonus in the forest just like how large units lose melee attack in the forest. It doesn't say that anywhere on the unit card, you need to select the appropriate unit and mouse over the terrain

Definitely would like to see more of this! As long as you have a full army and a siege attacker, you can basically leap-frog your way from city to city all the way back to Athel Loren, pausing only to replenish. Since you aren't concerned about keeping the cities you don't have to worry about public order.

Do it however you like, as long as you get the end results, does it matter if you won by overwhelming numbers, exploiting game mechanics or just being better than your opponent? End of the day, it's a game. Have fun with it! If exploiting the game means you enjoy yourself, then by all means!

I’d love to see more of this. Even if the new tree man lord took the regiments of renown and the spare characters and held the territories and Orion made a beeline for the Heart of The jungle (if you want to avoid war, at least in the short term with the High Elves and Bretonnia). That’s assuming Star Tower isn’t a Magical Forest like someone suggested, which would be great. Either way it’s a perfect livestream. It’s an unfinished SYDC, with a lot of challenge left and a clear goal (retake a magical forest), giving it an end that isn’t winning the campaign for him.

Their loot from battles and razing is insane, far beyond what they can get from buildings or trade; and on top of that they eventually become immune to all attrition--including both from having no settlements and from being bankrupt. That said, they do need at least one wood elf settlement (or one of several landmarks) in order to recruit, but once they have that they can instantly spawn new armies on any occupied settlement with their 30 global recruitment slots + reduced global recruitment time.

This campaign reminds me of a old movie titled "Warriors". In that move a NYC gang has to fight its way through other rival gangs territory after being framed and having all other gangs turn against them. This occurred when they went to some big meeting of gangs. Except in this case you have Wood Elves in a Warhammer 2 fantasy game who are stranded in the middle of nowhere and now they have to fight their way back to Athel Loren, their home turf.
