This is certainly my favorite of the DP-series sets. I love the Lake Trio and that Dragonite is beautiful. One thing that's always bugged me is how flimsy these cards are compared to any other era. Maybe Pokemon-USA was cutting corners when Pokemon lost its popularity? It seems there was also a lot of counterfeits made in this era. I remember seeing way too many when looking for cards at the flea market.

I agree that there were lots of fakes of these cards, but that is probably because Pokemon was very popular at this time, quality wise, I think they are similar if not better than the newer cards.

Hey ptp, which diamond and pearl or platinum set has the best pull rates?You should probably get one of that booster box for your summer opening,they aren't crazily expensive

The Platinum series of sets have better pull rates, so any of the later sets in the DP series.

Crazy to see these old pull rates haha. No wonder i barely have any lv X pokemon cards! Miss the days where rares like that were harder to pull. Made them more exciting. Definitely love the holos from this set, super nostalgic to see the cards i grew up with getting opened again
