Definitely love the MS version over the NA. The proportions just look better and I’m not obsessed with scale. As long as he’s shorter than Optimus, good enough for me. The NA torso just looks too long to me. Nice vid!

Both companies have their appeal. NA always have great paint and finish but for me NA is just too small. I think MS size and engineering are fantastic, would recommend the newer version MS-B31A over the original release though. I agree with the nicest YT transformers reviewer in the game (Kato...jk), both are great but it's MS for me. Please keep the versus coming when you can, I love em.

I dunno. I like the small size of the Newage figures. They don’t take up much space, and I like the scale they have going on when in bot mode. But both are great.

@@jasonswitzer1748 and to each their own. It's just for me, NA feels too small. Especially for my gorilla like, destructive hands..... I agree, I don't think anyone would go wrong in picking either company.

Normally, I give the nod to NA over MS. In this case, I prefer the MS version. However, I am all in on NA. so, to preserve proper scaling ratios, I stuck with NA Hound.

I think both look great. I only have NA. I use my legends scale basically as the alt mode display at the feet of the MP scale. I've been getting the EX if possible, for the nostalgia factor of the toy colors.

Magic Square is the best, if you looking for painted figures that will later chip off then go with NewAge, but Magic Square designs are the best, period. No debate

Disagree… I’m happy to debate this one. I have MS and Newage figures. They both offer something great. There are times when Newage figures’s transformations are a bit too simplistic, but conversely, there are times when MS transformations are too ambitious. You can fault the paint on Newage, I guess, but I find the MS figures simply too dull. That doesn’t stop me from buying them (Bruticus is pretty cool), but I prefer Newage Devastator to MS Devastator, which is crazy complicated to transform. I don’t mind complex transformations, but there comes a point where it becomes a chore rather than being fun. In terms of these figure, I honestly like them equally well. The Newage transformation is fun, as is the MS transformation. I admit that I like the proportions of MS Hound, but I don’t mind the transformation of the Newage Hound either… it’s more complex than I expected, yet is still enjoyable. Honestly, I’m glad both companies exist. They both have very different design philosophies, which is great because there’s something for everyone. It’s cliche to say at this point, but it’s a great time to be a 3rd party Transformers fan.

I just went in on the MS Hound. My plan is deluxe scale bots in MS and Voyager+ from NA. Do you think they will scale well with each other?

That Magic Square Hound is waaaay too big. He should only come up to Prime's waist. Newage's always scale well with each other.
