Excellent summary. I've loved the game series from the beginning and it DOES hurt me. :-) Every scenario seems to be a detailed puzzle requiring elements to fall into place at the right time. That would be fine if the random elements didn't destroy your strategies. I'm still a fan and Liberation of Reitburg seems to get it right with less randomness but all of the Andor flavour.

I've been interested in Reitburg ever since Colin's playthrough. I'm glad you can still find some joy in the Andor series. It was certainly fun for a good while.

Thanks for the review. I won’t be Journeying into Andor any further after Part II. Even that one I struggled to finish. The fourth and final scenario was my favorite, but the 3 sea scenarios before it just got increasingly more random and frustrating, even when playing with the bard for easier difficulty! I hated the fame track. I feel like this game hasn’t aged well. Too many other great fantasy adventure games out there now.

I’m very curious about the 4th set that just came out. Colin will be doing a play soon; hopefully it’s better than some of the other ones!
