I know these guys were ruthless criminals but good Lord what it took for those guys to evade capture and what it took to finally get the younger brothers to surrender is absolutely surreal. Very good work in your presentations, appreciate the effort

'That gang can't be in Minnesota, we heard that they might be in Texas !!!!'. That's pretty funny.

30:00 There is some debate weahter this info is accurate. Are you aware of this? This is also the escape route of the James that they recite in the bookThe last ride of the James Younger Gang. So I do understand your info. But the book first published after the raid by Frank Triplett. Has a VERY different escape route, and it has many accounts of their encounter's on the escape. There were many false reports of them heading exactly southwest that they used to their advantage. The James went directly south after the split. Ran into posse near Blue eath city (on foot) which isn't a large distance from Saint James where hanska slough was, they then hear the posse is headed all west and south. And the James head due east immediately go through Gordon on the far side of albert Lea which is the exact opposite direct of southern Minnesota and Luverne where the book states false accounts of them where hellping aid thier actual escape. Multiple times the posse is very close to them in the east and has reported encounter's with them. I guess we need to do some homework to determine which is truth vs myth. Because these escape route's are the complete opposite direction's of each other. There is so many accounts of event's with Frank Triplett that i find it hard to believe that it is not accurate. I do also believe the James strategy to go the complete opposite direction of the largest reports of the posse which all indicate they were all south & SW. Often when researching the very closest reports to the actual events can be the most accurate Tripplet's book was published in 1882. Not long after the event's. Not saying it's more accurate or less, but it's giving a very different account than your's but has several similarities but in different locations.

Kinda reminds me of the “black water massacre” the escape an all, including the abandoned farm house… well except instead of snow ol’ Jesse James and crew had to deal with torrential down pours. Ni idea why, but it had never crossed my mind RDR2 might of drawn inspiration from real life events 🤷🏻♂️

They were lucky that more of them did not have broken bone wounds.

Even if the robbery went as planned............. I don't see how their escape would be all that different.

I don’t know about you but I’d have a little more pep in my step and my spirits would be up if I was sitting on $26k as opposed to the $26 and change the gang actually made off with. Instead of just running on adrenaline I’d have the aide of elevated endorphin levels which would help to make the unpleasantries of the rough weather and terrain a little more tolerable.
