Hi TT, I just got a pinball machine and i have a bright white light along the left side of the playfield screen, seems like the monitor might have moved from the case that holds it or it was put together wrong. Any chance you might be able to help? Have you seen this before?

HUGE help even just identifying what connection is for what. I had the "colours cycling" problem on my main screen after doing some work on my cab and it turns out the cable was just slightly jostled out of position. I wouldn't have known where to start testing. Thanks!

My right flipper is glitchy. What could cause that? Sometimes it doesn't flip and sometimes it flips rapidly. It seems to get better with play but is still unpredictable.

Check Loose wire connections at button or connector not seated in good at circuit board.

Thanks for this video, I pulled the plug out for the display today and it bent the pins on the power supply board, now I have no power to my main playfield. im going to attempt to open the power supply and see if I can solder the pins back onto the board, but if that doesn't work, do you know where I can get a new power supply for the ALP? Its not listed on the atgames site from what I could see. Thanks!

Tampa Tec have you had this issue or heard of this happening? My up volume will not work. What I mean is when I click on the up volume button it will appear on the screen but the slider will not go up. The down slider goes down but now I have zero volume. I ordered a new volume control board but that did not solve the issue. Do you know what cable connects the volume board to the mother board? I also have a new mother board installed so that should not be the problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Check all your cable connections on both side of boards and reseat them. Check physical button and make sure it's not stuck.

@@TampaTec I tried all the connections and it still does not work. The buttons are not stuck either. Do you think there is a way to by pass this or an adapter I can use to attach to the end of cable that plugs into the volume control board. Maybe bypass that and go into something else? Not sure just trying to brainstorm because other people have had issues on the internet and no solutions.

Hey I've got one and the micro speaker in the front left of the cabinet developed a pretty serious buzzing noise. I was able to stop it by jamming some bubble wrap between the outer case and the cabinet to keep the white plastic cylinder of the micro speaker from vibrating. However, is there a way to fix whatever's loose in the micro speaker or is it best to just replace the micro speaker? If so, can you do a video on how to do that. I took it apart and it looks like you'd have to pry the plastic faceplate that says 'Legends Pinball' from the mounting board that is held down with the four screws in order to get the speaker out.

I just got a new unit that cant exit the welcome & register screens as only the d-pad and channel +/- buttons work besides the reset flippers working on the left side so was able to factory reset. The home button doesn't do anything. stuck 😢🙏

U can plug in xbox controller into usb port to exit but Reseat game board connections and control panel connections inside the cabinet, I made a tutorial video on my arcade playlist. Sometimes things get loose in shipping.

Do you know how to repair the backlight of the back glass screen? It is dim now because I screwed mine up while installing a VIBS board.

Check out Shopjimmy.com they sell LED backlight strips. They have many tutorials too but I suggest get the upgraded backbox from buy stuff.

Thanks for the quick response. I still want to use the stock games. Wouldn’t I only be able to use the PC with upgraded back box? The problem I’m having is that the screen is dim when I connect the stock HDMI mini board and when I put the VIBS on, it lights up with just different colors, with no images, but you can still see lumination when that happens. This dude on KZbin says is a 12V burnout from installing the VIBS the wrong way. I am just trying to keep my back box so I can alternate between the PC and The LP. which LED lights would be compatible to the back box monitor? There’s a bunch of different kinds of LED in that store. Thanks in advance! TT

Hey TampaTec I took my legends pinball apart to install some custom graphics, I think when I put it back together I plugged in the ribbon cable from the 32” monitor upside down. Now I just just get a illuminated black screen, do you think I broke the display, game board or both?

Great video but my issue isn't addressed. My pinball machine's on/off switch lights up but both the game board and the back glass stay completely dark. Tried the connections, visually checked the boards and tested the power supply but still no luck. Any suggestions?

@@kleinrobjen3308 Not yet, the wheels are moving very, very slowly on this. AtGames suggested I get a new main board which I did for $120.000. That did not fix it. Now I'm waiting ... and waiting ... and waiting for a new power source I purchased to arrive and try that. Hopefully it will.

Iam experiencing the issue with the blueish screen! Says Legends Pinball on the top box as well. Did 3 factory resets with the same result. Everything seems to be seated good and tight. Iam under the assumption it has a bad board. It just quit on me to this blueish screen right in the middle of an update and has not come out of it since. Bad board TampaTec? Nothing i do seems to change anything 😕

My backbox started going in and out then totally black. I bypassed vibs and still no image. Then it will suddenly come back randomly throughout the day or next day. I checked all connections. I checked ribbon from back ox to vibs under tape no issue. I am lost if it’s main board, backbox or something else. Any idea?

The Cab is poorly made. Even form the ALU , it always has power issue when too many usb plug in.

At 9:02, the 2 small white plugs with red wires going to the power supply, does it matter which one of those goes where if they’re unplugged and you need to plug them back in? I was reaching inside mine today from the back and twisted my arm and it unplugged the wires that go to these connectors. I’ve found one hanging from the playfield back glass, and once I find the other one, I need to make sure it’s ok to plug them up in either of these connectors. Someone please answer, I’ve posted in a Facebook group and messaged some people on Reddit that seem to know about these machines but nobody is replying and I can’t find a schematic anywhere. I didn’t even know there were two things that plugged in to these until I luckily found this video.

My firmware update failed. Now it is saying to use a usb thumbs with the update on it. It keeps rebooting because I have no way of downloading the update to a usb drive. Anyway to reset the machine?? Help! This is the second machine that I’ve had problems with!

I am just going to post this here for some help. I set my machine up this weekend, and connected to my wifi and proceeded to get a "loading" screen that persisted for a long time. Hopefully I didn't screw up the machine because I shut it off, and now it won't find wifi networks, just shows "searching". Does anyone know how to fix this, or perhaps do a factory reset on the machine (in hopes that might help as well)? Thanks all!

turn off the lights in your room and check for backlight glow if you see a glow but not picture that Can be bad board main board or tcon board swap, if your know how to unplug and unscrew back cover and board anyone can do it. Shopjimmy.com or electropartsonline.com

I know this is late to the party, but I'd be willing to bet that you have a bad capacitor or two on the board. Had similar problems with a Samsung 52" around that age. Opened it up, located the burst capacitors, desoldered and replaced them. Worked just fine after that. Cost me 5 bucks for 2 new capacitors on amazon.

You don't need wifi or to sign-in just to play installed tables or byog add on games but does ask often at boot up.

I think that I may have fried my main board today. I I walked across the carpet and felt a small shock when I touched the ALP. The control buttons stopped working in OTG mode. So I rebooted it. Now I can't get a picture on HDMI. Looks like it's trying to connect but goes black and then comes back to the no signal screen. I tried two different PC's and two different HDMI cables. Also factory reset the unit. While booting up my PC in OTG I can briefly see the Windows loading screen but it is tinted bright red. But after Windows loads, the screen stays on the no signal screen, occasionally going black and trying to connect (while making a popping sound) but never connects. Is it likely that I need a new board? Or is there anything else I can check?
