That's the beauty of DnD. I remember a one-shot, where we had to SECRETELY retrieve a package. Results: Three characters are unconscious (Mine was knocked out by the bandits (and then my teammate accidentally threw his knife at me), the character of my friend was knocked out by our own teammate (first the guy accidentally hit him with his axe, and then THE SAME GUY threw him out of the window trying to save from the fire) and the character of my other friend was knocked out due to his own stupidity (he was trapped under a net and decided to burn it with a torch. Wasn't too successful)), and two others are dealing with a group of bandits, TRYING to retrieve A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT package.
