Did you guys not sand the surface before priming? Also with a heavy pour why is there a need for that top coat? Or was that just for the handprint? The sides I understand but what's the purpose of doing overtop? Incase it's damaged or gets any gouges it doesn't effect the design & easily fixable with a quick sand and clear coat reapplied again?

What kind of primer and what did you spray on it after you put the epoxy on?
@LeggariProducts5 ай бұрын
We use a water based primer leggari.com/product/wb-primer/ and once the epoxy is poured and the design is established, the first thing we spray is 91% or higher isopropyl alcohol. This creates cells in the design and disperses the epoxy. Once that evaporates, we spray denatured alcohol to pop any micro bubbles that might be in the epoxy from mixing. This allows us to avoid torching the epoxy and the risks associated with that.

@Irish-Triplet4 жыл бұрын
Make sure you investigate how to put an undermount sink on a formica countertop. If it gets wet, which it probably will, it will expand the mdf or plywood and the sink will drop. We looked into the undermount sink and ended up going with a Karran Quartz drop in sink because it had great reviews and we didn't want to take any chances with the water getting into the old countertop and making it fail.

Do I need to use the 5minute product that was used in this video or will the wood filler work? These are the two concerns to why I have not finished the counter top yet. Please help and thank you.
