Thanks for the video very informative. Downtown Juneau back in the 90’s was about 2 blocks. I’m sure it has grown after 25 years.

@@LeggLife Just watched your July video. Skaggway👍.The Shrine Of St. Therese has been in my sights for a while. I'm working with the cruise line to make this happen. I am hoping to get to the museum in Juneau, as well. I hope an hour in each place is sufficient, with lunch in between. Thank you again! So glad to have come across your vlog... So much to see, so little time.

I most definitely will. That’s a great idea. I have been entertaining a video idea collaborating with other AK you tubers on the 10 things we love and dislike about living here. Obviously there is more to love but I think we can all agree 4 hours of sunlight in the winter is a big👎. I’m glad I found your channel. I seen a comment on Mindy’s video today. -Brian

LeggLife Juneau looks amazing. We considered moving there or Seward but settled for the valley for Charles' work.
@LeggLife7 жыл бұрын
We love Juneau and Seward. But, if we had to choose a place to live out of those, we probably would have chosen the valley as well. We probably like visiting Juneau and Seward more than we would have liked living there. But, we would love a vacation home in either of those places. There is just something about the ocean that is so relaxing.
@LifeGoesNorth7 жыл бұрын
LeggLife I forgot we were also looking at Kenai. Happy to be here in the valley though. It is probably the ideal place for a lot of reasons. Hope to visit Juneau soon. Have you guys travelled on the AK Railroad?
@LeggLife7 жыл бұрын
We've done the railroad to Denali together and I've done the train to Seward. Love both of them, but Seward was probably our favorite. The trip to Denali was like 8 hours, and honestly, it just felt kinda long. Seward was perfect!

Juneau is BEAUTIFUL! 😍. Would love to visit it one day. Those signs were beautiful, very kind, loved seeing them. The snow looks like a dense rain. And that catholic shrine looks just Wow ❤. It was great hearing some of the history of it. Love loved loved that story about St. Therese. So many ideas from that way of thinking resonated with me. I'll need to read more about her. Thanks for sharing your connection to this church. I can see why it is so special to you.

The Unconventional Indian no offense but Juneau is not that pretty (the weather) but there is hella lot of culture (trust me I live in Juneau and I I'm native there)

The chapel and surrounds are beautiful. I enjoyed the footage of the snow falling as I have never seen snow fall in real life. I can't even imagine how stunning that glacier would be to see. Here in Western Australia we don't see a lot of snow and ice. Thank you so much for sharing this experience.

And the Alaska flag! My hubby told me that story about it a few years back. Is there a street in Anchorage named after him? Speaks as a true testament to the heart of Alaska, having the flag designed by a 13 year old boy living in an orphanage. What a wonderful way to honor this boys life and his artwork. THATS God using ordinary people to do extraordinary things ❤
@LeggLife7 жыл бұрын
Yes, Benson Blvd. is a main street that runs East / West in Anchorage and it's named after him
