This model is so much better than the core set Vader. I also love how the inner robe is sculpted over the chest armor since this is pre ANH Vader and that’s how he wore it originally.

I played Warhammer 40K and went to playing x wing miniatures but thinking of getting into Legion it looks like like it's in between them.

That cement is not glue, it is a solvent. It chemically bonds styrene parts together but may not work at all or well on the soft plastic. It is meant for the hard styrene plastics like models and the new Legion minis.

I ..would never glue the cape piece on until after it's painted. It makes it such a pain to get up there in the back area.

Ive pre ordered like operative, I've just started to slowly get back into table top gaming and painting. What paintbrushes do people recommend bare in mind I can't buy the best of the best but somewhere in the middle and what do people recommend for paints because back when I used to paint is only heard of citadel

So Vader was nerfed and Luke was buffed - a lot. I am concerned about Luke dominating everything.

I've heard alot of people say they prefer this sculpt of Vader. Would I be able to field this sculpt but use the core set commander card? Or is that a misrepresentation of what's in play?

I don't see why not. The important thing is usually that you and your opponent are clear on what everything is. Just make sure they know which version it is at the start and keep the other card off the table. That usually goes for serious tournaments as well but maybe ask an organizer just to be sure.

Rebels are better
