It's not about which time to send. There is a reason why enemy troops were revealed whenever leaked - it is for you to assess the damage types of enemies and based on that information, you find a wave that is strong against their damage type then you send mass troops.

Unless you know this, you will never know how to play Legion TD. Take this as an advice, not a negative criticism.

upgraded malformation(abnormality) is the perfect, best mid unit. You need some tanks in the front for them to build up their sacks, and a backline for the wave to attack while the bugs eats them. Building them alone past lvl1 is the worst thing you can do, especially because level 2-3 is normal attack damage which counters malf's medium armor. Whoever said they're great is right, but unfortunately -it's like someone gave wtii gasoline and said this is great, but didn't elaborate for what, so wtii tried to put out a fire with it instead of use it as fuel like idk wtii they were right but they also thought you'd know better thankfully you did start with building a backline which is what they needed first and firmost.
