Awesome setup guide. One problem... "launch the game in a window when playing via gamerranger" acts like its turning on, but always stays off.

u can manually do it if it doesn't want to work. u can do this by selecting the 'generals.exe' in the 'launcher' folder in the game's directory. if u are using Steam, make sure u traverse through the 'GameRanger Game Location' shortcut at least once. you'll see it in your game directory :)

Game Ranger doesn't recognize my Steam version of Generals or Zero Hour. When I try to add them to Game Ranger, it says 'invalid selection', even though I'm selecting the .exe for Generals/Zero Hour.

yeah this issue should have been fixed with v2.07a, but i'll release v2.07b later today (probably in a few hours). v2.07b is going to use an enhanced way of activating GameRanger, so it could be taht it will fix your problem. :) if u want, join the Discord now, and i'll send u the current test version

it's compatible. run GenPatcher again, and click Apply Fixes again. if that doesn't fix it, u can manually select it by going into the GameRanger directory within the game files, and selecting the 'generals.exe' over there

Well... it actually works but the whole game process feels a little laggy (like low FPS laggy + a liitle input delay). Was it always like that (last time i played ZH was 10+ years ago, could be a classic case of false memory i.e."EVERYTHING WAS BETTER BACK THEN!11" )?

FPS should easily be above 60. You can see your FPS as the yellow number in the top left corner. (Assuming you have GenTool installed)

Hi. I have a problem with the option "Launch the game in a window when playing via gameranger" It just doesn't turn on and Idk why. That's not the biggest problem. Problem number 1 is that i can't move across the map by moving my cursor on the corners of the screen. I'm in a full screen and it still doesn't work. If i hold the right mouse button it will move but for me it's really challenging to move by using it. Any solution for this annoying problem?

i dont think u can.. if u want to play Shockwave online, u can play it online via Radmin, and maybe also via Shockwave's own network service--but for that, it's best to join the SWR Productions discord server and ask over there

You need to update your generals zero hour patch, some of the player in Gameranger are using 1.6 or 1.8 patch. If the two player dont have the same patch version, the game will detect as a mismatch game.

sadly I got some issues getting zero hour to my game list. Zero Hour is installed on Steam. I did also install all the other stupp genpatcher etc... Anyway zero hour does not show up. no. you'll get an error saying "this serial code is already in use" whenever you try to join each other's game. you need to make sure you are either using two different EA App accounts, or two different serial numbers
