Thank you so much for this! I think they look great, and really quick to do, too. Hope I can get hold of some corrugated plastic... I have just spent a long time making a pair of papier mache spoke guards for my wheelchair, using a plastic spoke guard as a template. Very successful but pretty laborious! I have just uploaded 2 videos about decorating them with mixed media.

In the USA the material he used is called coroplast and can be found at sign shops.

you could get corrugated plastic from almost any sign shop. they are usually ten dollars each for 24X24 pieces black and white. I've built a few, just remember that patience is key!

I found ten pieces of 12×12 is cheaper. It'll be interesting to make the same thing with four pieces strapped together.

@Thekronginator 700c wheels generally have an inside diameter of about 24", as shown in the video that's 12" from the center on every side. Velocity Deep V rims or other deeper rims may have a smaller inside space. Just take a tape measure and see how far it is from rim to rim, crossing in the center.

in bike polo people might hit your spokes so a cover protects them and it looks pretty badass

Really prevents the ball from getting stuck in the spokes, or passing through to the goal, it also lets you better predict the bounce of the ball off the wheel.

you can buy nice carbon look ones for £40 on ebay. attaching with silicon sealant on the rim is more aero and neater and they dont rattle

Hi depending on your Velodrome they may not allow it as it is a cover and not part of the wheel.

I don't know what a Velodrome is, but Heckler's Alley sells covers so I'm guessing it's standard practice to have covers.

The wheels aren't flat like the plastic, so cutting the plastic lets it fit to the wheel.

Instead of all those zip tyes... Just stretch some pantyhose over the wheels, snip just a milimeter for a hole on both ends where the axle is. White pantyhose look best but black are neat too. That saves on weight and easy to install. The trick is to stretch them evenly around like a condom. best easy fixie fix.

I disagree. The fabric is too fragile, and placing it under the tube/tire could unseat your bead.
