Girl I been using silk & acrylic to mend broken nails for 30 years!! It’s the only thing that works for me to grow out a break! It’s an old tried & true trick actually 😘
@Hairitage933 жыл бұрын
It's important to remember that everyone isn't interested in using acrylic powder to fix a natural nail break, especially since one of the monomers that is still (unregulatedly) used to activate and set the acrylic powder today is highly toxic to the body, deemed poisonous by the FDA, and has been banned in 30 States for about 12 years now, technically. Using dip powder to help fix a natural nail break is an updated and safe DIY solution that is more accessible for most people, and is also easier to use, since it comes in a 1-2-3 step system. Dip powder is also a solution that I do not suggest to be confused or compared to the application of acrylic products, for health reasons.
@gabriels.69793 жыл бұрын
@@Hairitage93 actually dip powder is just acrylic powder but in a slightly thinner powder version that's hardened with the "activator" which is a mixture of ethyl acetate, acetone and isopropyl alcohol that makes the polymethylmethacrylate (acrylic) harden faster without the monomer part being involved. Also ,as you say, its important to remember that acrylic (WHEN USED CORRECTLY) is not dangerous and does not cause harm to the nail, if you want to talk about the dangers of MMA (methyl methacrylate in LIQUID form) that's good but don't forget to inform that there's also EMA (ethyl methacrylate) which is the safe monomer that is mostly used nowadays, explain the difference or inform yourself before making people scared of acrylic because of bad experiences you've had or as such.
@Hairitage933 жыл бұрын
Ah yes ✨ if dizziness, light-headness, fainting, skin irritations and (in the long-term) nervous system damage is ok for you, EMA might not be so bad after all. References consider those symptoms "low concern" anyways. Just have to see again in 10 years or so...or not 😅 yolo 🤷🏾♀️✨ All I know is that those professional nail techs have been keeping those face masks faithfully on during the day and during each of their services, (before and during the panasonic 😷) so yeah, the mindful nail techs might be onto something 🥰✨
@NativeNYerChicHK3 жыл бұрын
@@Hairitage93 Well, the Acrylic kit I used was many moons ago was specifically for fixing breaks, you paint over the silk on your nail with their glue, dip your nail into the powder and then paint activator over it, exactly like today’s dip and exactly what you’re doing here. But the activator in that old kit had an odor that could definitely get you high, or kill a small animal 😂🤣😂 Toxic, no doubt about it... But since the process was a dip, I eventually just switched to the newer and better dip acrylic with the lesser fumes. Exactly what you’re doing here. Much safer. I still consider it acrylic but dip is the correct term.

Thanks for this great video. I had 3 broken nails like yours (2 on the left 1 on the right). I followed your instructions and it works so well my nails are really long now, and my husband has complimented me on them. He said they were glowing and I was sitting across the room from him! I use the "french tip" style dipping and you can't tell any are broken. I think I'm just going to keep them at a nice length but not so long that I cannot type without slipping into the cracks of the keyboard.😂 Thanks again for the great instructions.

Like you I have been on a natural nail journey. So I have really enjoyed your content over time. Like u I have been seeking a permanent solution to cracked and broken nails. You went the acrylic route, I chose gel. I think you would like gel too. I use a brush on builder gel to glue the breaks, then apply a coat of gel on the top and bottom of the nail. The bonus of gel is using it for preventing breaks. I apply a gel overlay on my nails, it provides protection and added strength. It’s clear so it just looks like natural nails.

I get nail breaks like yours pretty often too. The dip powder system has worked very well for me. The silk wrap on its own was never enough to hold my breaks in place until they grew out. I wonder if the brand of dip makes a difference. I use ASP Quick Dip and it’s held minor and severe breaks in place for months. I have a clean break on my pinky nail that’s been going strong for over a month now. Almost grown out 😊 These days I use clear dip on all of my nails. It’s helped me grow and maintain long nails. GUYS PRAY FOR SAM AND COLBY THEY BEEN DECEIVED BY DEMONS AND ARE IN DANGER THEY ARE KZbinRS❤ God wouldnt allow souls to be trapped on earth, its umbilical and never happened all souls belong to God, so you cant sell your soul to the devil❤ And not everyone is a child of God jesus said it himself youre of your father the devil and your desires are to do his will true children of God are the ones who have been born again spiritually and repented from sin❤ So many people say they love God, but most of them never repented from sin and have a personal relationship with him, and love isnt just a feeling love is doing❤ Familiar spirits are demons well if I'm wrong I wasted nothing because I got peace and joy from him, but if you're wrong you wasted your entire life!! ❤️🎉 And demons love when people believe that lie that God doesn't exist and they love it when people don't know they are there ❤I copy n paste this everywhere❤ And no one talks about repentance, God will never lower his standards to be okay with your sins, sins is very serious in the eyes of God hes holy and righteous and it seperates us from him❤ Demons exist, and the devil comes to steal kill and destroy and uses people to do so❤ Btw telling the demon to stay doesnt do anything unless you have the holy spirit you arent safe. People: okay please stay this is your place❤ Demon: okay People: **leaves** Demon: **Goes with them anyway** Demons arent gonna make it obvious they are there so yeah. Demons are fallen angels that uses the form of our passed away loved ones to make us believe ghost exist and the souls of the person we knew still remains here❤❤ Astrology is demonic before my relationship with God I would always do zodiac signs literally just a bunch of sins put into each one I bet if everyone was sinless zodiac signs wouldn't make sense and literally a cover up for demons❤ Hearts are deceitful above all things, listen to God❤ Depression can be a demon you may need deliverance❤ God said unless you're born again spiritually u will not enter the kingdom of heaven also God doesn't judge us by our good works he's judging us by our sins Gods standards are so high he's that HOLY saying oh my God is using Gods name in vain it's called blasphemy ❤ To get to heaven you must believe with all your heart that Jesus died and rose again paid full price for your sins repent and receive his Holy spirit. KZbinrs I recommend Impact videos ministries David diga Hernandez IsaiahSaldivar Mapalo DLM christian lifestyle Billy garham Danial adams Living waters Mike Signorelli Okay now pray this to be saved and to get to heaven pray out loud Jesus I confess that you are my lord and savior I believe in my heart that God raised you from the dead I ask to receive your holy spirit and I repent of my sins with your help❤ by faith in your word I receive salvation now Thank you for saving me! I am now reborn a christian a child of almighty God I am saved thank you Jesus! *Be genuine when praying this* Watch videos on how to receive Gods holy spirit on YT God creates Jesus redeems The holy spirit changes Now our good deeds and works we think are good are like filthy rags in the eyes of God Things to get rid of in your home 1sage 2dream catchers 3crystals 4crystal ball 5ouija board 6 tarot and angel cards 7religious statues 8demonic movies music or video games 9soul times items 10pornography Now like a theif robbing a store, demons won't make it obvious they are there unless they have to. Now know you can't save yourself Jesus said I am the way the truth and the life You have insurance on your house if it ever caught on fire which rarely happens but when it comes to your soul, you play with it like you have forever to make your choice which you don't 150k+ people Die everyday and you never know when it may be you God spent 9 months shaping and forming you before you were born but only 7 days on earth you're fearfully and wonderfully made beautiful in the eyes of God❤ Don't waste time Hearts are deceitful above all things ask God for wisdom and understanding we are just tiny humans with a 3 pound brain and our imaginations cannot go beyond what we already know❤ Your souls is so valuable both Satan and God want it but it's your choice who you will serve You serve the devil when you Lie Hate Blasphemy Disobey Lazy Gossip Gluttony Wanting what others have cause what God has for you is for you he will never deliver your male to someone else's house Hate And unforgivness And cussing murder and more And once you die, you're locked with your choice of where you're spending eternity God doesn't care about you doing more good then bad cause he's not judging that God never said that's the way to heaven So who's lying you or God? Be serious about this❤ God is holy and righteous God is love So either you would play around because you don't believe hell exist or you don't believe you're going there but the bible makes it very clear The path to destruction is wide and easy many are on it the path to eternal life is hard and nerrow very few find it and to get into heaven u can only enter through the nerrow gate❤ You dont have to wait until you die to know if youre going to heaven you can know right now 100% where youre going❤ Satan doesnt rule hell this is a myth when lucifer known as satan now became prideful and rebelled against God he took many angels with him Demons are fallen angels we live in a spirital and physical world so hell was made for punishment for satan and his angels and the reason why people go there is because they Align themsleves with the devil in SIN! Sin separates us from God and the wages of sin is death if youre found guilty with one sin on judgment day you will not enter the kingdom of heaven so the thing is We us humans broken Gods law and jesus paid the fine! So the good news is you dont have to go to hell if you accept him as your lord and savior! God offered us eternal life as a free gift and you receive it by faith! You dont have to work for it you dont have to pay all you have to do is receive it by faith❤ Don't expect Gods best when you always give him your least don't reject him anymore let him come in and change your life❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Thanks for sharing this very useful information. My nails have been brittle since menopause but I recently started using Vita Protein Collagen Peptides Powder. It didn’t work right away but about six months later, my nails are longer than I can remember them being. I recently cracked the right index nail. I used the teabag method but I may have to try this method. BTW, I noticed that you have the same condition that I have, hyponychium: the skin that grows up underneath the nail past the nail bed. I want to share with you and everyone reading that may have this similar condition. It doesn’t matter if my nails are short or long. Sometimes, the skin separates from the nail. It hurts. I discovered that if I dab a little antibiotic ointment where the nail and skin are separated, it will heal fast.

I put nail glue on the crack and seal, then take some bits of cotton from a cotton ball and push it into the wet glue. Then use a pair of tweezers to move the cotton around until it covers the crack completely and the surrounding area. Then I buff to make it smooth and usually put another layer of nail glue to top it off, then I can continue my nails like normal. It comes out completely smooth and undetectable. Sneaky nail repairs! 😏

The pink, white and gold nano is one of my favourites off yours. As you know, I've been off and on with my natural nail journey, and went back to acrylics. The third lock down was enforced in the U.K.in December, and I had my last, pre lock down infill just before it started. We're now in mid March and.... Whaddya know!! My nails are long and strong and my own. I started to do my own infill, then changed to gel, then started adding a bit of acrylic powder to each layer of gel. After a base coat, two layers of builder gel and acrylic powder, finished with a glossy top coat and I finally have the nails I've dreamed of, but just cannot achieve myself. I'm certain that's down to medication, because I have very poor hair too. I cure each layer under an LED lamp, before applying the next, so that it's all cooked through. I honestly don't see how my gels are any more 'cheating' than the 17 layers of nail strengtheners I was putting on each week, and it's far less time consuming. I did all my research on proper practices first, bought quality products from Amazon, and cracked on. My nails look like they have a coating on them, but I'm quite happy with that! Do you think you're getting more splits due to the Nail shape? I honestly think square nails are strongest. It seems to be for me, anyway. Great to see the girls back to their best!!! Lots of love xxx

First video I watch and I'm super excited to permanently fix a nail break that I attempted to fix yesterday by just gluing it back along with the builder gel technique that I found somewhat complicated. So I want to redo the fix but this time I ordered a gel nail polish kit that uses LED lamp to cure, but after watching I will now be incorporating a silk wrap to the process. Do you think that the gel polish will be just fine or should I do dip poweder instead?

Hi! People are stanning gel nail polish as something that works for them 🥰 I say give it a try :) ❤️
@carinadiaz58903 жыл бұрын
@@Hairitage93 I actually went ahead and did dip instead and it worked out fabulously! Still amazed! Now I just need to establish a nail care routine to help make my nails stronger/harder.

My nails are long but the tip broke off and I didn't want to file them all down so I glued it on, used a teabag, and acrylic clear powder and buffed it with an electronic nail file. Then I polished it with a gel topcoat. It's been holding up pretty well.

Can you do a video on how to fix nail shredding or how to make your nails stronger? Btw ❤ your videos
@Tippers943 жыл бұрын
Omg exactly. Mine don't even grow out because the edge of my nail splits and is so weak it breaks off and disappears. About to start using builder gel and I hope it works

For me I use a thin layer of hard gel and sprinkle acrylic over it, cure in uv light and your nail is fixed. Looks natural and the layer is thin. when it grows out lightly file and use a soft gel to refill.

I am going to try this today, but I miss something. After you applied the silk wrap, glue, then buff what did you apply after that buff? Thank You

Love your natural nails. Show me the way please. Tired of my nails breaking off. I'm seriously thinking of hanging this glam nail biz up. Pain "cannot " = beauty.

Before we go watching it that's easy get a piece of tea bag caught a little piece off and use crazy grew over your crack of now let go out after buffing. Keep good clean strong nail polish on.

I must say, I am jealous of these nails, they look nice and cuticles on point. I'm so heavy handed, 🙄oh well back to the short nails.

Hi Hairatage, did you use the glue to seal the silk wrap?

I wish I could ask you some questions directly. My nails have ALWAYS been paper thin and extremely delicate and when they break, they break waaaayyyyyyyy past the quick. It's so painful. I'm going to try to dive into your routines where I can! I just have soooo many questions!

My nails used to be the same way! I started using OPI nail envy as a base coat and my nails have grown out so beautifully! Have 1-2 coats on at all times and your nails should be hard in no time!
