When I was about 9 years old, I found a 1955 doubled die! I showed it to my friends and said it's worth a lot of money! They laughed at me and said yeah, it's worth a whole penny! I turned 9 in 1970!

The Bea opened several cases of vault boxes cased up late from series 5, nothing spectacular, I guess they’re still searching for the top 2 $$$ items(1907 $20 flat rim, & 1873 proof set) I’m guessing they’ve been found and someone is just sitting on them as a store of wealth!

I always go through my pocket change. Get dollars and quarter rolls from the bank to go through. Not big amounts though.

Folks in general don’t pay attention to their pocket change much less go to the bank and buy rolls/boxes of coins to look for errors & rarities.

Tips for good to great photos. If you have a Brown penny use a white or very light gray piece of paper under the coin. Use dark color if the coin is red or shiny. When you take a picture look at it before posting it. If it doesn't look perfectly clear try taking a different pic. Play around with lighting. This can make a coin look amazing or look like complete garbage. Also take a close up picture of the error.

Hi Blue, have you heard about the Mints Jan 6th coin in the works? I've put in alot of hours from Thursday until 10 Saturday cataloging my pennies after 40 rolls here and there. Finally I have a coin worthy of a grade out of circulation. 1967 full steps and doubled. Just need to ID designation.Don't ya love the feeling's. I had to stop I was seeing some strange mech-doubling. How many ear & eye verities could there be right.😊

I've noticed Bi-Centinial quarters are popping into the daylight again recently. IMHO due to 2026 and the Semiquincentennial approaching in 10 months. I even got 1 in change here in AZ. within the last month. I'm not sure of the mint, Id have to pull it out. THO we get Denver coins being in the Desert Southwest, Every year we get 100,000+ Snowbirds (Winter visitors from Canada, and Everywhere else) running from the snow, to play in our Giant Sandbox. It's a warm 82 rn, at 4:26 pm today. I understand why they Flock here as Cold Weather makes my 60+ year old bones ACHE VERY MUCH now. Ah to be 18 in Germany again. NOT!!!!
