Thank you as always for supporting Ren I know you guys have been supporting him all along! ***I am leaving a long comment so this is a warning ahead of time. I'm answering some of the things you asked at the end of the reaction, answering with my opinion and how I see things. We definitely can disagree or agree to disagree with respect. I wanted to say first, that I appreciate that you guys care that much about Ren. I'm sure a lot of us do and he's done a lot for a lot of us, just by putting out the music that he puts out and being the genuine person that he is therefore I understand the concern and the protectiveness and I wanted to say that before you read the rest of what I wrote because I didn't want it to come off the wrong way. It's really hard to convey tone in writing so I hope this is taken in the way it's meant, me just answering or responding to what you were asking and saying at the end of the reaction. I am just stating my opinion of the situation. Regardless of what I think or you think, Ren made the choice as a grown man and it's his music and his career so there's nothing we can do to change that and it's already done at this point. This music video has been done since the end of July or the beginning of August. Ren has been sitting on this for a month now. Ren specifically chose to make this music video public on KZbin instead of putting up on his Patreon for the Patreon members only. Kujo would have never seen it if Ren had put it on Patreon. I believe the reason that Ren put the video on KZbin was to make a statement, not just to Kujo and his girlfriend, but also to anybody else that thinks that they can just walk all over Ren and he's not going to do anything about it or he's just going to allow them to take advantage or screw him over. Ren is a super smart guy and I'm sure he checked with his lawyer prior to putting out the video with the explanation and before putting up this music video. Eminem's mother tried to sue him for $11 million and settled for $25,000 with $1,600 of that amount going to her lawyer. I think that says a lot right there. I'm sure Ren covered all of his bases and that's why the notice was up at the end of the video. Ren has said several times there should be nobody going after Kujo and he has even put out a video on Instagram saying if he finds out any of his fans are attacking Kujo he will block them. Ren said he does not need that in his fanbase, that we're moving on from here. He said hopefully the lawyers can figure this out for an amicable agreement and if not, then he's going to remake the audio for sick boi and put it out on October 13th for the anniversary. Ren has proof from KZbin now, as well, that Kujo was using the copyright strike system illegally so that's in Ren's favor. Ren had a meeting with the head of KZbin today as well. Kujo also tried to strike down this video the night it came out, it was gone for like 15 minutes and then KZbin put it right back up because Kujo has no cooyright over it. No judge is going to hold Ren accountable for a fan base of over 1.5 million people. Ren's been saying "please don't go after Kujo" for over a month since the first video he put out about the situation. He's just trying to be transparent with his fans. Kujo is the one that brought it to the public in the first place. If Kujo didn't want people in Ren's fanbase to know that he is the one that was causing the issue he shouldn't have brought it out into the public forum. I really think that Ren wouldn't have put the video up until after the entire situation was over unless he knew he was ok. Ren has decided he will not be buying any more beats going forward and they're right now renegotiating all the Beat Stars contracts at this point and Ren has met with the CEO of Beat Stars face to face. Knox Hill was with Ren for some of this and saw the song before it was recorded and stuff. Knox dissed Benzino and Benzino couldn't get the video pulled off of KZbin and he can't sue Knox. Anyone that watched Hi Ren and listened to Masochist and Murderer and Animal Flow, should've known that there's this side of Ren inside. Especially if they can relate to what Ren's going through or has been through with his mental health and/or with his physical health. I can relate to that because I have both mental health/physical health issues that went undiagnosed for a long time and I'm still not anywhere near getting better or even found anything that might help me to get better. Anybody that has dealt with those things has to have some of this darker energy in them in order to get through it daily or you would just give in and wilt away. I believe he chooses and makes conscious decisions to try to not let stuff bother him as much as he can he because of what he's been through in his life and not thinking he would live past 30, he probably wants peace and happiness and to enjoy his life and making music and not to be negative and angry and spiteful and all that. Also he missed a lot of years hanging out with friends and partying and having a good time because he was trapped in a bed. Who would want to be miserable and angry and negative all the time? Especially when you missed out on all that time and then you get a second chance at life and you're feeling better and your dreams are coming true..... You're going to want to try as much as possible to stay in that happy place and not let anybody affect you until it becomes necessary for you to draw that boundary. I'm glad he got it out and I think, honestly, that this video was cathartic for the fanbase as well as Ren and I think a lot of people calmed down after this video came out. They weren't so upset anymore because Ren took care of it and we visually saw it and heard

I don’t think we need to agree to disagree on anything…. I agree wholeheartedly with everything you stated. We didn’t know all those facts either that you stated, we both have seen that darker side of Ren in some of his other videos (like the ones you mentioned) and completely understand how everyone (particularly someone who’s gone through what he has) has that side. I’m sorry to hear you’ve been dealing with all that as well. I hope you get some answers very soon. We were hoping Ren would have cleared it with his lawyer, just so nothing came back negatively on him. Our only concerns we had were that things were going to get worse for Ren from this, and that people were going to go after Kujo and his girlfriend (because let’s be real…. Ren can tell people all day not to go after him or to harass him or anything else, but there are going to be those people out there that don’t listen). But yes, completely agree with everything you’ve said
@Lunabracco3 ай бұрын
I think only non true ren fans will go after Kujo, solid true fans definitely won't, especially after REN asking the RENegades not to, if you watch the video where he talks to his fans saying anyone he sees going after Kujo he will block, he doesn't want those fans in his fan base, you only have to see his face... That's enough to convince any ren fan to obey his wishes to leave Kujo alone..

@@Lunabracco I agree, the majority of Ren's fans understand that this was meant as an artistic and cathartic release, not a call to arms. I'm so happy that Sick Boi is back, and with that choir sample! It's been on one of my playlists since it came out, and I purchased the album so it's not like I would have lost it completely, but I am glad that Ren has it back to share with the rest of the world. Renegades Reactors and Ren Unite... it's a beautiful thing! Last year, I remember there was a big movement going through the fan base that was essentially 'protect Ren at any cost". To some degree, I understand this mentality, for anyone who has seen the blog he did when he was at his worst physically, there is a natural wish to help, especially for those who have been lifted up by his music. There's also the fact that he has a young face and he has many supporters who are older (like me) to whom he has become like an adopted son. Sort of like that hat best friend of your own child who you see as being part of the family... though I've never met him. I don't get it twisted though; he's a grown man who can handle his business. As such, I tend to hang back like any good 'book club' member would do and wait for him to tell the fanbase what direction he wants to take it.

@@Killermcknight @Lunabracco I very carefully thought out how I wrote everything because I did not want this to come across as me being rude towards you guys or like I'm upset with you in any way about what you said because I totally understand where you guys are coming from.... I was hoping that the information I gave you might help to ease your mind a little bit because you guys probably haven't seen all the stuff play out as much as the rest of us have. I really do think the video actually calmed down some of the stuff that was already going on. Before Ren even knew that the video was down people were already making comments on Kujo's page, I guess, or at least from what I understand. As for myself, I have avoided any of that drama directly. I've watched the 2 videos on Ren's channel about the situation with Sick Boi being taken down (1 from last week and 1 from the end of July or beginning of August, I think.) I watched the Top Music Attorney's 2 videos on this situation. I've probably watched around 200 reactions to the beat down so far. I bought the single for the song on Bandcamp on Friday because every Friday when you buy the artist's music on Bandcamp the artist gets every bit of the money and there's no like split with the platform. I've tried to do everything I can to support Ren in a positive way and avoid the negative things like trying to tear anybody else down including reactors and including Kujo because 1. It is not my business even though I care about Ren and his music. There's nothing I can say or do that is going to fix their problem and 2. As a true renegade I know what Ren stands for and what he wants his platform to stand for, which means lifting people up and not tearing people down, as well as being positive and bringing hop. So I try my best to portray those features cuz that's what I admire about him and that's what I'd like for myself. There are toxic fans in every fanbase (and I hate saying toxic fans but that's what they are and I don't think they mean to be sometimes but they don't understand that when they are negative and tearing people down it reflects badly back on Ren not just them which can impact him in the long run.) So I figure my best way of helping him I feel like the best way to help Ren is to push the song to get a number one on the charts or buy the single and help support Ren's legal fees or towards making a video or whatever Ren needs it for on order to continue doing what he does. That's what I think the Renegades should be focusing their energy is on the positive support that we can give Ren so that he can not be as stressed about that kind of stuff while he deals with the other stuff that we can't really do anything about. I appreciate you guys being open to a conversation.... Social media doesn't seem to be very open to conversations in general these days unless it's an echo chamber. Btw, I know you were coming from a place of genuine care and concern because I've been watching you guys almost as long as I've been a Ren fan and I found Ren in Jan 2023, can't remember when I found your channel but it wasn't that long after. There are a lot of new Renegades that might not be familiar with you guys. I figured maybe if I commented I could do so with tact, respect and understanding and maybe that would deter others that might not approach things the same. 💙💙💙 Much love and thank you guys again for being so receptive.

I understand you saying you fear for him for being so brutal, but you guys know that Eminem says and does worse shit than what Ren did in this video. The hate and anger are totally justified. And Kujo was already after Ren in the first place. I get the fact that a Ren fan might bully or fuck with Kujo Beats in the public.. but if I'm honest and I'm 10000% honest, I have no idea what Kujo Beats even looks like, and I don't think anyone else does. @@justinroberts3153 Not true. The freedom you speak of is no longer protected. Not in the UK anyway. The Online Safety Act legislation recently passed through the UK parliment specifically targets online speech. There are no provisions or exemptions in the act for artistic licence.

There is always the “freedom of speech, not freedom of consequences” argument. This could be misconstrued as a threat of violence. Say something terrible happened (i.e. Kujo killed himself). Ren could certainly be at risk of consequences. Obviously not criminally responsible, but surely open to a civil suit. I don’t blame Ren for doing this, but pretending that this wasn’t a risk and Ren is protected from every angle is silly. Ren is smart, but Ren is also an emotional artist. It’s part of what makes him special. He needed the catharsis and I’m glad he got it. Hopefully it doesn’t come back to bite him.
@achebwahs11113 ай бұрын
@@Kal-vl4vd Absolutely. These new communication offense laws state harm can be of a physical nature and/or physiological. The act also makes it a crime when speech has encouraged or assisted others in causing harm. That's fairly open to Interpretation and will no doubt see a variety of offenses argued over in the courts. There's a lot of fans believing artistic licence and artistic expression safeguards an artist's speech, but there is zero provision in this new act exempting either. Claims of intent to cause harm if brought to the police, could result in charges being laid. Then there's the civil side of things. Telling fans not to abuse or threaten Kujo, but asking reactors to support a beat down video and to a huge collective subscriber base, in excess of one million, may be argued as intent to encourage and assist in causing harm. Kujo's lawyers could argue harm caused by public accusations and his name and likeness identifying him. I truly hope not, but you're right when saying it is still a possibility.

When you watch a few times I think it's clear that as diss tracks go he doesn't actually go that hard at Kujo. This is Ren doing Ren. We all go along on his journey because of the authentic way in which he can convey emotion. He holds a mirror up to us all. We all have dark and light. This was more Ren documenting his emotion throughout this process. Yes, it's dark, yes it's angry, but those are legitimate parts of the human condition and experience too.

i didnt register it til now, but, and ive realized this before, strong empathy flips to cruelty given the right circumstances, people usually describe it as the quiet person you dont want to mess with or something along those lines. its not that they inherently wish to hurt everyone its that if you fuck with them to the point that empathy breaks they switch right over to cruelty and you dont want to be on the other end of someone who empathizes with the pain they are causing - ie, they know the pain they are causing and rather than feeling for the victim, enjoy the knowledge that it hurts. not a diss of ren, just something ive observed over time

Kujo doesn’t have a leg to stand on and his gf even less, Ren still has 2 even tho the gf threatened to snap them. Kujo no way can afford to fight Ren in court on the very high chance of losing so that ain’t happening now or ever. Ren will also make a shlt ton of money for this diss track so even if Kujo did on the tiny chance win Ren just from this track will have more than enough to cover the 3k Kujo wants, coz he has 0 chance of a defamation claim. No need to worry 😊

The receipts pissed me off. Sick Boi is phenomenal and when Ren decided to take it down I was extremely pissed off. It really brought me down, and I expect many others did too. Now, this amazing diss track comes out and it scares me to think he could get sued for it. It will not happen. Now, Screwtube has removed the copywrite strike based on Ren's facts and presumably their own research internally with Beat Stars and the original creators. I hope they attempted to contact Kujo too. But this is out and so be it. I heard from another reactor that Kujo will respond on the 13th. Remember, the GF probably has more risk of liability since she lied about the contract, defamed Ren and then threatened Ren with bodily harm. Poor little Kujo just stole the beat!

First of all, Ren was obviously angry, but the first part as a discussion with himself - nothing Kujo can say about that. Other than bad language, there were no lies told about Kujo and the only threat was that he’d make it public again or that part 2 would be worse if they kept it up. The only violence was 2 ACTORS tied up. Ren was obviously very careful with his words.

He’s’ a big boy he can look after himself don’t be nervous! People do this all the time in the rap community so there must be some form of artistic license. He can’t modify what he does to try and control crazy fans. They will be crazy regardless and cross boundaries that are not acceptable and he can’t take responsibility for that. Kujo needed a little slap and I think got it. What he does is up to him but he didn’t seem to want to budge on taking more than was warranted. Hopefully they come to an agreement soon. It sounds to me like the basis for this extra claim on Sick Boi on top of the regular publishing is based on a legal loophole. Lessons were learnt all around!!!

I'm actually happy Kujo turned down the offer to work with ren. Even though he was brain dead to do it. That's a dangerous president to set. Any person that tries to rip you off, any you offer them a chance to get rewarded and catapult there career. You'd have people just starting out making bogus claims just to help there career. I hope he takes legal action, but even if I think he has a case. Kujo probably has no money , so Ren will have expensive legal fees. I think kujo though ren being nice equalled weak. The very least the beat down showed was Ren will fight back.
@iamlpinthe3123 ай бұрын
Beat Down = the Beat = Down (Sick Boi) I hear where you can coming from, BUT the gf made threats of physical violence towards Ren. Also forged alleged portions of a contract. Misrepresentation. KuJo has Sick Boi on his discography and has listed his credits as “ Producer “ AND “ Songwriter “. This is a piece of art. Music is his medium. This isn’t defamation. It isn’t libel. IT IS MUSICAL THEATER OP-ED. Music is RENs medium. Plus REN put out a series of IG stories not just telling people NOT to talk shit directly on KuJos YT/IG/FB etc. HE SAID THAT IF HE SAW ANYONE DOING IT THEY WOULD BE BLOCKED. HE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT LOSING FANS. JUST. DO. NOT. DO. IT. Ren could not have been more clear. If someone wants to do/say “bad” things ESPECIALLY AFTER BEING ASKED NOT TO, TOLD NOT TO etc then how exactly is that RENs problem? Ren offered more than he had to, especially with the offer of a collaboration with 50/50 split ON EVERYTHING. Personally, Different situation completely ( landlord/mgmt company/tenant) - BUT I had to deal with greedy people cut from the same cloth. Sued for upwards of 100K. COMPLETE BULLSHIT. I BROUGHT THE RECEIPTS( SO MANY VIOLATIONS OF THEIR LEASE- NOT EVEN WITH US). I have absolutely no doubt that they ( KuJo + gf+ lawyers) are twisting into something that isn’t even there - as it was in my case. I had so much against them for so many things. They actually wanted a jury trial! Mediation brought them a settlement of… their security deposit. That’s it. Could have been accomplished with ~$600 in filing fees. Cost me $60K + in attorneys fees alone + ~$20K in lost income etc. WHY? Because this is what greed coupled with envy does to people “ One man’s win is another man’s frenzy “. For RENs health I hope that this gets resolved. I ended up in the hospital with a brain bleed. So MY fear is his health, plus the involvement of attorneys, whose job isn’t solely for the client but also those billable hours.

I was worried for Ren too, at first. I was also a little worried about Kujo and his gf and I hoped they were just staying offline and divorcing themselves from all this. I am a little less worried now, but still you never know. I hope there is no backlash from this, and I hope behind the scenes maybe things are getting worked out. Hopefully even the crazy fans are heeding Ren's warnings of not harassing Kujo or his gf. As to Kujo, hopefully he has learned his lesson and just rebrands himself gives it a few years, perfects his craft in that time, and perhaps he can be a beat producer again. The song was still fun and so cinematic, I loved it.

Diss tracks are part of rap culture. If you're a beat maker you know this. There is a precedent for these types of videos with little incidents of real-life violence. I don't think anyone is going to hold Ren responsible for the actions of others especially when he has repeatedly asked his fans to leave them alone. He has also said that anyone threatening violence will be blocked from his own channel I would argue that this video is cathartic not only for Ren, but for his fans.

Defamation is costly. Ren published that he has enough information to litigate successfully for defamation against Kujo. And he would win. But Kujo has no money. So he would not be able to pay the costs, it would have to be covered by Beatstars. Kujo would not have the funds to bring a defamation case and he would lose, because defamation is only defamation if what is being shared is not true. Everything Ren has shared is true. He has receipts. Ren will be able to make claims for losses on sickboi too. Ren could take many legal actions. But he probably won’t. He just wants an aplogy. He has already spoken to his whole team about his disappointment in any errors their side.

Yesteday YT Music removed the strike, because in this case it was against the policy, but anyway, he have now the chance to find a solouten with the bulgarien choir. If they dont find a soulution, he will produce the "new" sich boi song. btw: agree the deal with the cooperation with Ren dont solve the stolen sample....it is still stolen...Ren or Kujo must find a agreement with the choir to keep the old sick boi song. But I think the choir is a little bit upset against Kujo, because he stole the sample und they try to get money for compensation.

When you Google kujo beats, Rens video pops up first. Ren has already won. Also he is covered under artistic license. Just look at Eminem.
@tlg220733 ай бұрын
The license is for the beat “master”, but Kujo was still supposed to get $3000 + 15% of publishing. Ren does not pay the publishing fees to Kujo. It is done by a central entity. KZbin took off the copyright strike after he met with them and he showed receipts. He also released another short video saying that any fan who harasses or threatens Kujo will be blocked from his page and all of his videos. There is no court that could find fault with this video. It is artistic license. It is rap. There was no physical threat…he wants to cut him with his “razor blade pen”…with his words. The only threat is that the next version will be worse…reveal more. The Bulgarian Choir was not in his. The people in back are friends and they could have been the chorus, which btw, is saying something to the effect of, “This beat is not stolen.” Bahahahahahaha! Also, Ren didn’t “bring” Kujo’s girlfriend into it. That wench put herself in it when she went to Anthony Ray’s review of the Ren message video and posted lies about Ren and post a fake contract claiming Ren had agreed to their terms. She deserves much worse. Also,no way in heck Ren would ever ask anyone to be his full time beat make. He’s his own beat maker for the most part.
