This was my schedule was like while I was working for Tesla:
7:30pm
Eat in break room
7:30pm-8:00pm
Eat dinner
8:00pm-8:20pm
Hop back in car
8:20pm-8:50pm
Go to shower in factory facility for free!
9:00pm
Go back to car and car camp to sleep
5:30am
Wake up
6:30am shift starts
6:30pm shift ends
It was a fun journey, and Tesla had provided me with a ton of leadership experience that I will take into further jobs. I'm only 29, so I have so much time ahead of me, its' just begun. FIRE movement stands for Financial Independence Retire Early. This was taught to me by my parents back in 2017, after I graduated college in 2017 from SJSU where I got my business degree. Isn't it crazy how you can speed up the retirement process from age 65 to age 35?! I'm on a mission to shave off 30 years of agony!

From 2016-2018 I was an entrepreneur and started a business with my brother Alec Murillo, where we operated a healthy meal prep company out of San Jose. Partnered with a few gyms, and rented out a commercial kitchen. We were able to market enough to produce about 200-250 meals a week. It didn't pan out as well as we'd like it to so we decided to end the business. It took a toll on me, because it was my baby, and I tried my absolute best working on the business the moment I woke up to the late hours at night.
After that , in 2019, I applied to the Airforce, where I was actually in processing. I then got denied from the Airforce because I have metal in my ankle from a surgery that I had to get from a football injury in 2013. My ankle had broke, and it had to get fixed with 6 screws and a plate.
In the middle of all this I had applied and got in for Tesla. So I was working at Tesla waiting for the Airforce to scoop me up. I was so sad that the Airforce denied me, but if it wasn't for them denying me, I would have not had a job at Tesla for 5 years!
What a turn of events..I believe everything happens for a reason, good or bad.
Rejection = redirection
Maybe Tesla laying me off is putting me towards something greater, just as the Airforce denying me, led me to Tesla.
