@20:18 Hey Alex, there's a "trick' we used to do was remove the passenger side headlight to ger a ram air effect. It only takes a few seconds to take out the couple bolts an plug. With the headlight gone it's like a perfect tunnel directly into the air filter. Great on nice cool nights. The turbo loves that cold dense air.

Man! Brings me back…. I had a 95 GST from 1997 to 2007… I modded it quite a bit… all the regular bolt ons, a 16g turbo, front mount intercooler, and boost controller turned up to 20lbs of boost. The thing used to smoke stangs and vettes all day long. Was such a fun car. When the boost hit it felt like the tires were gonna come off the car. Never had a problem with mine, wish I never sold it.

Love my 06 MR. Got full bolt ons of course, had head decked, ported/polished, oversized inconel valves, stiffer springs w/titanium retainers, stage 3 cams, stainless 3” custom exhaust, titanium turbo manifold, intake, catless, gtx3576 gen2. The tune is severely handicapped I’m making roughly 400awhp tops because I’m still running stock block and bottom end. Sequential going in when that happens. Yes it’s laggy, I bought this bigger turbo knowing it will not be street friendly but when the block and bottom end is done, then the sequential goes in it will be much more streetable. Bigger turbos suck on the street especially when you have a manual like me but when you shift with the sequential you might lose a pound or so. The biggest thing with the sequential is they have to be tuned correctly to work with the ecu.

49:50 These cars for a very long time were considered the cheapest 10 second car you could buy. Simply because you could bolt on a larger turbo, gate, controller, push them to near 400hp and run in the 10's. Heck the factory turbos with some jimmy rig mods could get you to near 300hp. There's also loads of weight reduction you can do to mitsubishi's, they make their cars very sturdy, and a bit heavy for the size.. but the doors are heavy as hell, the back hatch is 100 pounds, hood is fairly heavy. There's many spots you can do some hole saw weight reduction as well. You can easily drop these from 2600 pounds to 2300 pounds with some carbon fiber stuff.

LOVED my DSMs. I had a 91 Talon TSi AWD with an FP Red in a 2.4l stroker, and a 99 Eclipse GSX with an FP Green. Talon is probably my all time favorite car (as far as cars I've owned.) Miss both of them. Been considering looking for one to work on in my free time.

Hey Alex. I know your channel is mechanically focused which is amazing, but have you ever thought about doing some driver training and showing us just what these amazing cars you build are capable of? I would love to see you doing some track racing or drifting or something. Just a thought. Thanks for all the great content and all your hard work.

If it's Jack flying in for body and paint, you could introduce a Stig-like character who only appears on screen in full paint gear and mask. He becomes a mysterious, mythical, heroic paint and body guy that some sayyy does better work than most Hollywood plastic surgeons, only on cars not stars. All we know is he's called...
