For the soak and scrub valve cleaning method on my N54, I've also tried using valve cleaner with some success. The ones that are meant for putting in the fuel tank but instead of going in the tank, I pour it in the closed valve intake. They're cheaper than the CRC GDI cleaner which I reserve for interval cleaning into vacuum ports.

Wool wax or fluid film are the BEST for “undercoating”! Should have removed wheels and bagged rotors though.... Also, the professional applicator kit with real spray gun is actually more economical and applies better.

I was going to mention this stuff too. Also...what about the hood lip/seam up front, inside door bottoms, bottom of tailgate lip, around moldings on tailgate inside... Wheel arches, fender bottoms where leaves collect... Better than nothing - but can’t forget the body itself!

Direct Injection - right there you have to do that every 30,000 miles. It is maintenance but has to be done on nearly every DI engine. CFC is great - use it on my four cylinder turbo engine and it is clean after done. Note not all cars need it done - some designs (read that Toyota has port and direct injection in some of their engines so they do get gasoline with cleaning agents onto the valves). Great advice I follow myself on regular maintenance. Oil, differential is regular maintenance. Everything else is new, thanks for sharing. Great of you to give a car to a needing person. Ceramic coating is nice. To anyone that plans to do it, take your time cleaning and clay bar and buffing if needed. It really does make cleaning the car easier. A good pressure wash does really remove a lot of dirt from it. A quick and easy sponge wash makes it spotless. If you got matalic paint it makes the flake pop so much more in the sun. I find it to be worth the time and money to give it a good ceramic coating.

I have 2017 Chevy volt and it has a LOT of electronic issues at only 42000 miles The pre-collision system brake 2 times at 40 miles per hour when there was nobody in front of me The sensors are always beeping when there is no car in front or behind or near The turn signal gets stuck and the emergency lights does not work sometimes

I've got a 06 RT charger w/184plus thousand miles . I've always been into performance so upgrades are part of my nature . So far I've installed A 6.1 set engine w80,000 miles had the ecu reprogrammed w a srt tune , complete 2017 SRT exhaust raspy whe accelerated. SRT suspension , SRT 3.06 SG ,axles and hubs. 2016 police charger spec brakes all around. One of my next installs long tube header, drop in cam and valvebody w/trans rebuild.

I literally just did this job with all the amsoil products nearly in the exact same order on my 99 Tahoe. Only thing I didn’t do was the metal protector cuz I had the frame removed, sandblasted, and coated with Line-X. Idk about lasting forever but it’ll definitely last a lot longer.

In Canada most people that know cars undercoat them with Krown rust proofing. It pisses out of every orifice for a week, but it gets into every sheet metal hem which is the most important, and it doesn't delaminate like the "tar" like garbage coatings which trap moisture. Undercoating is SO important if you drive in salt.

I live in Indiana and used the product called fluid film on my sn95 5.0 Mustang. It has held up pretty well. But these products do have a finite life. Once every 2yrs or so I have to re spray the underside.
