Hey Alex, long time subscriber and first time commenter. I'm a 68 year old Italian man (Papa) living in New England and am a care enthusiast (fanatic). I have to thank you for your awesome videos for not only their entertainment value but more importantly the educational value. You have a great way of connecting with your audience. I can only speak for myself but your genuineness and down to earth way that you present your material is so instructional on a level that even a novice or someone that's never worked on cars can understand. I also think you have a great family and I appreciate that you are a devoted Husband and Father. I love your stories of Mom and Italy. I wish I lived closer, I'd love to come and meet you and see your shop and cars in person. Thanks for what you do and how you do it. Al

Those rotors aren't in two pieces to allow the pieces to be replaced separately, they're floating brake rotors. Floating brake rotors can reach higher temperatures without warping because they are not directly bound to the center. Normally, warping from overheating happens because the rotors are hot and the center is not, at high temperatures the expanded and softer metal of the rotor loses the battle with the stronger, colder centre and buckles where the metal is hottest. Floating rotors are attached in a way that allows this to happen without stressing either the center or the rotor. An added bonus of floating rotors is that the rotor and center can be made of different materials, allowing the brakes to be lighter.

I had the pleasure of sitting in the passenger seat while it was being flung around the Waterford Hills race track that Automobile Mag would rent for their Top10. I was taking voice notes while talented race drivers on staff would wring every little bit out of it. Nice to see it rescued.

I am a professional paint mixer currently like Lupe, it’s a very satisfying job. We use spectrophotometers to colour match customers cars which allows us to use a paint system to find best matches for paint across different brands, it’s great for matching paint on older cars as with common colours will have had multiple shades while coming off of different production lines.

Great quick turn around, love the RS4, Glad you didn't have to sort the DRC or the Oil Cooler lines, as they are not fun, and like you said, Chain at the back of the engine is not a fun job. Sure you have been told, but you have had many many comments, as you are a popular man lol, the exhaust vacuum lines are there from the standard Audi Sport backbox, when working the vacuum holds one exhaust flap in each tail pipe open, and when you hit sport, it closes the valve, most get stuck over time if not maintained, so its a mute point, but if you want a choice, a bit of oil and patience can free them, but from time dot, in UK in any Avent, Milltek was the way to do to release the V8s full sound. Keep up the great content. Been following since the high mileage M5, and still loving the content.

Alex, man you in a paint booth brought back so many memories for me as a kid. My dad was a painter for 40+ years and I remember watching him outside the booth painting cars. I even have his old paint jacket that he won in a paint competition. If you ever see this message I would love to send you a picture of it.

In the north of west australia the mining Toyota hiluxes used to get very dusty MAF sensors. Always throwing p2006 manifold runner stuck closed. The hot wire ones we used contact cleaner and the newer style MAFs required short but several bursts of compressed air only. Very cool to see explanations in your videos now Alex.

We did a color science workshop and it was some seriously interesting stuff!! Like you said Alex, the colors that you would never think of to make shade variations and adjustments would end up nailing these environmental stage changes spot on. What was even more interesting was depending on the tone of metal flake, it could be an entirely different color combo to achieve the same exact shade adjustment. There is a very cool science to it and there are some paint folks out there that this stuff just makes complete sense just the same way a gifts mathematician can just see the solutions as if they were picture images. Awesome stuff. 👍🏻😎👍🏻

Audi B7 RS4 owner here. The stock exhaust is valved. Pressing the S button opens the valves and I believe improves throttle response.

Thanks, Alex for the videos on this Audi. The car turned out beautifully and yes, I'm a big fan of the color. I hope this beauty goes to a good home. Phenomenal job by you and the body shop. This awesome 2007 car looks better than some of the 2024's that are rolling around on the streets these days.

@LegitStreetCars Factory mufflers have a valve that opens with the S button, hence the air lines in the bumper, that is why you didn't notice any difference when you hit the button in the last video. S button changes the sound of the exhaust to a much deeper tone, uses more aggressive fuel maps from ECU and on some models pumps air into the driver seat side bolsters to pump them, up for a tighter seat feel.

You can find the same discs with Brembo parts code for like $450 each. Also if/when it needs a throttle body, it's the same part on the Z06 corvette. "Silver blade" corvette throttle body. Get the GM part number and save $800-$1000. Also, half polish here. Fond memories as a kid visiting relatives in Berwyn. Little old ladies wearing babushkas towing their carts around.

Hey Alex, that is such a beautiful car. I've always liked them particularly in that color. The interior is gorgeous with the blue leather seats. It'll be a great car for whoever buys it. Thanks for the body shop tour of the repair work. It was really interesting. Cheers!
