ALEX TO FIX UR GPS AND RADIO SIGNAL CHECK THESE WIRES N CONNECTORS ITS THE SAME FOR CHARGER CHALLENGERS N CHEROKEES. WHEN THEY GET STOLEN THEY CUT OR UNPLUG THEM TO STOP TRACKING. But this will cause ur gps to spin around n not work as well as ur radio n sirus xm n other features of the radio n such to not work. Thankfully my thieves were much more considerate and just unplugged the factory connectors... lol. You can check the connectors to see if they are unplugged (2 plugs on the back of the uConnect head unit, 2 plugs above the headliner coming out of the sharkfin antenna, about a foot of wire attached to the antenna, then the 2 connectors.) but some ppl cut the wires instead of unplugging or they attempt to grab wire n rip it out which can undo the plug pins too. You can attempt a repair on the wires, (I think they are a coaxial cable, so you would have to patch the center and the outer shield on each wire.) or else I think you have to replace the entire roof harness.

ALSO THOSE HAVE 4 MUFFLERS EVERYONE DOES MID MUFFLER DELETES THAT SOUND BETTER THEN AFTERMARKET U CAN SEE IF THEY DID IT ALREADY. BUT A LEGMAKER INTAKE IS THE BEST FOR LOUD WHINING. Love seeing the smile on your face! Here is a few things to help ya out! 1) The settings within SRT pages drastically change how the car feels. When I drag race my Challenger HC I use the following settings: Power: 700+ Transmission: Sport/Track (This will change how the car does its shifts. Try it in track to experience the really quick milisecond shifts) Traction: Sport (This will allow a bit of wheel spin but will pull power once it senses you going sideways, you will notice on the dash it will say TC is off) Suspension: Street (This is to allow the weight of the car to shift to the back tires in order to grip) 2) Active exhaust - Those modules activate an actuator that open and close the valves. Typically from start they are closed and as you change your transmission settings from street and up, it will modify how they open. Most people when they do an after market exhaust will do valve simulators and the exhaust is always open. I recommend checking out BORLA ATAK (which is what I have) ort the AWE track edition. 3) Launch Control - Sounds cool, but this button is pointless on the car and is only good for smoking tires. The issue is 1500rpm launch is too much for these cars. When you launch you want just a bit above idle. I do no more than 1000rpm. Plus, from there I can modulate my gas pedal as needed. 4) Tazer - As you mentioned, our MY cars dont come with line lock. But using an aftermarket device called a tazer allows us to use a button combination on the steering wheel to mimic that ability. Additionally, we get other tools like a light show and other customizing options. 5) AFE CAI - Going from the stock air box to an open one will see marginal gains in power, but a huge gain in smiles per gallon. The super charger whine becomes noticeably louder. Its absolutely night and day. I cant wait to see what you do with your build!

My wife and I have a "Factory Freak" 2020 Durango SRT. They usually baseline dyno around 405-415hp. Ours baselined at 432hp and 450lbft. We had it tuned and only have a JLT intake and a mid muffler X Pipe and we dynoed out at 461hp and 484lbft. The shop said they usually only see those numbers after a Cam and Long Tube install.

FWIW the bracket that the intercooler pump bolts to has been replaced. The Mopar sticker at 19:57 is a dead giveaway, I'm sure it was from the accident. I would look for more stickers if I were you. I do auto body for a living, those stickers are a pain to remove but I make sure they're gone. Not that many people notice, but it's a dead giveaway. Edit. That reinforcement (you call crash bar) has definitely been replaced too. Aside from the eight bolts, the tabs on the reinforcement should be spot welded to the frame rails. Obviously they didn't do that on the driver's side. Just one more sign that it's been wrecked. I know, you're aware of that. But one more reason to inspect it closer, if they leave stickers and ignore the redundant spot welds who knows what else shoddy work they did. Like putting the wrong engine coolant fan on it...

I was an auto tech for fca cdjr and loved working on hellcats and scatpacks. When you try to add non mopar 10 year coolant to the cooling system, it gels and clogs the cooling system and when you drained the cooling pump it didn't look like 10 year mopar coolant (oat) so I imagine that's what happened to your pump. 10 year coolant looks purple. Just got to the point in your video where you said you added back oat coolant but it must not be 10 year mopar coolant just throwing me off a bit. Love the hellcat they are really fun to work on. The brakes are very expensive to replace if you go oem. Replacing 4 rotors and brake pads runs around 4500 with labor and everything it's crazy

Great video. Glad it was a relatively easy fix. One thing to warn you about, the lifters in that hemi are prone to fail at around the 80k mark. That would be one of the sources of the infamous ticking sound. The design is the same as you would find in their standard engine variety. Before you add more HP, you need to upgrade the lifters and inspect bearings etc. Once ticking sound starts end of life of that engine is next.

Purple. My 16 Hellcat made 653 to the wheels at 12 pounds peak boost when it was new. You definetly need a differenctial brace. If you decide the take the car to a track, I've found the transmission tune to be pretty valuable. A Tazer device will let you setup a cool down and has tons of capabilities. I use them for pretty much every Mopar with a stock computer.

The wires got hot because the fan wasn’t using the resistor when the fan was on low power and was receiving full amperage. Had that same issue on my 2018 ram 2500 blower motor for the vents. As long as it was on max speed it would get warm but not hot enough to melt but on low it would get super hot and melt the casing on the wire.

Hey Alex I live in Oregon and have driven on Antelope Butte off HWY 140 many many times this summer. In fact I'm pretty sure I have seen that car on the car club pages off FB in that area as well as Klamath Falls FB and Medford FB. Love your content and I am procrastinating doing a oil cooler pump repair on a 2011 Dodge Durango Heat edition so I'm watching your video instead. Thank you for having your channel and it always inspires and educates me to keep doing my own repairs rather than paying a shop to do it. Be safe my friend

Those exhaust dampers change the back pressure to increase fuel economy in different modes. Chevy used a spring loaded style to assist on V8 engines that drop to 4 cylinders on the highway. This was a major flaw in cold weather. If there is condensation in the exhaust -40° freezes the valve shut. Then you get stranded miles from home in the bush on a hunting trip.

29:13 the exhaust valves are meant to help with drone when cruising. It’s more for the vehicles with mds that can have drone due to the cylinder deactivation. Not really meant to quiet the exhaust or make it louder. Would definitely recommend commanding them 100% open in the tune to avoid the annoying squeaks it can cause when going from off throttle to part throttle or when remote starting the vehicle
@weedfreer

I think somebody knew what they were doing with that new section of exhaust pipe. Do you notice that there’s a literal step in pipe gauge not long after the butterfly(?) valves? Well, that is what they do in F1 cars. The sudden step deals with backwards travelling reverberations which not only does wonders for the sound, but, it also makes the flow from the engine out the back way more consistent. Without the sudden step in gage, the reverberation waves will push up against the exhausting air from the top of the valve. The step causes the reverberation to bounce back towards the exhaust end of the pipe, and, in doing so, acts to reduce the pressure in the direction of the exhaust. Nice

I had a 20R Toyota I built, the Cyclone header had Anti-Reversionry tubes where the header plate mounted to the head. I went from 85mph top end to 100mph just adding the header, those anti reversionary does wonders for keeping the incoming charge on the cylinder from being contaminated by spent gases .

These cars are famous for being under reported for horsepower. Drive tribe ran into the same issue when they put theirs on the dyno and it was 20hp (?) over the Dodge stickered HP. The drawbacks to these cars is the weight. I've own two Chargers and loved both. A blast to drive/cruise in. Just to heavy to drag race in.

19:59 @legitstreetcars Looks like the radiator support may have been replaced from that minor accident. I see Mopar parts sticker on it. I saw that on my 1st Evo I bought. I dropped all of the fluids to replace with new fluids and I saw genuine Mitsubishi parts stickers on stuff on 2yr old 17k mile Evo 8. Turned out it had been wrecked and the whole subframe had been replaced. It was fixed correctly but it hadn’t been reported to carfax prior to my purchase and I paid full retail for the car. It ended up being a great car in the end so I was okay with it. I am super stoked for your Hellcat purchase! Love the content 👍🏼😎

@@mastercricket7626 The part that upset me was that accident didn’t show up on the carfax report that the dealership gave me with the car but when I ran my own carfax about 3 months later the accident had been reported. I have a feeling the dealership ran the report prior to performing the repair so it could have one not showing the accident. The repair was done correctly and the title was still clean so it was all good. I just paid a little too much for the car.
