What started as a simple restoration project has gone a little too far. I wanted my super rare Mercedes E55 AMG Wagon to look perfect again and I ended up making it a see-through car. Some will love what I'm doing with and others will hate the fact I'm borrowing parts from the E63 but either way, it's going to be awesome. I enjoyed the video. I like how you have a change in your backgrounds. I also like the different ways that you are using your camera ranging from hand held, close up to what I assume is a tripod. All of these changes give the video a more dynamic feel as if we in your garage. Also I like that you upload on weekends it seems others only do the weekdays or their uploads are very random.

Just the fender liner needs to be removed to remove/replace/repair the windshield washer reservoir and pumps. No need to remove the fender.

@@bigstinka1 Steel cut oat meal. I make mine in pressure cooker. Stove top takes 30 minutes but requires constant attention to stir it thats why the pressure cooker is better. You can just soak them overnight in milk in the fridge and add fruit.

You really did get a 040 colored car? Wow that takes HUGE BALLS my friend. 040 black is probably the worst color ever. Its unbelievably sensitive. If you touch it you already have scratches in it just from your skin. Its insane. I know this color really well and its a pure nightmare. Also very very difficult to polish. If you want a black Mercedes ALWAYS go for Obsidian Black. Thats why 040 black colored cars are usually 3-4000€ cheaper than other cars.

Unfortunately when trying to buy an E55 wagon you don't have too many to pick from. I've had a few other 040 cars. With a good coating they aren't horrible

For those removing the hood by themselves but not wanting to damage the fenders: put some rags or cardboard around the hinge areas, remove hinge bolts, and rest the corners of the hood on them. Use fender covers or steal a comforter from the bedroom. I won't be held accountable for what happens once the ladies find out.

Maybe you know what could be my problem... I have Mercedes w211 e280 with 722.9 gearbox and yesterday I did a pull and now my gearbox is not going into gear... it shows P R N D but does not move... I checked live data and it shows that it understands witch gear I'm choosing but does not engage it. Any thoughts for that? oil level is perfect and external everything looks good too.

Can someone explain to me why one would replace the bumper/grill of the 55 for the ones of 63? Can’t be for looks, because the pointy, sharp nose doesn’t go AT ALL with rest of the rounded corners of the car. Looks like the body kits starring in the original Fast & Furious movie... Can’t be for bragging rights either cause both the pre- and post facelift are old cars by now. Don’t get me wrong, I love the W211, so much better than the follow up model, I just don’t get this especially since he says these are rare cars in the US. Now the other way around, placing 55 front on the 63 I CAN understand since ur just restoring the car to how the designer intended.

What do you think about Weistec - 175hp supercharger? Did you have any experience with it before? I found e55 with it, intercooler with tank in trunk, exhaust and 100k miles in Louisiana, but car needs suspension work, brakes, new battery and some electronics issues fixed. Engine and transmission are smooth. But I didn’t have an opportunity to drive it, because only one air bag fills up. Is it worth getting into it, or better find stock one? Your opinion will be highly appreciated! Thank you!

Wow! I own a 2000 ML320 and I was able to retrofit a 2005 sport style front bumper with headlight washers. Quite a bit of fabrication involved but I love projects like this. Can't wait to see your finished project.

I updated my 1987 300 TD. I put 18" wheels and tires on it, I put a 1995 euro lights and Hood front bumper, front fenders, and had the whole car stripped down to bare metal, and painted. Looks great. :)

It will go faster to 60 mph. Aerodynamics for a car are more affective at higher speeds. The weight reduction will make that car more peppy!!! (Not that it needs to be more peppy)
