Love this set! Think this is the better with all those market stalls. Good variety in the builds and so colourful. Will be perfect with Ninjago sets like the temple of Air Jitzu as you say! Thanks for sharing your thoughts

Thank you for your video. This is a great review. I am sad that I missed the first three (80101, 80102, 80103--I don't want to pay the higher prices on Amazon), but am happy that I have still have a chance to get these two sets at the retail price. They look really good.

As a follow up to my last comment on these products I have to correct my observation on the number of pieces there are in fact over 2500 pieces in the 2 sets. Although many of the pieces are of 1x1 size in many cases which means large in number but not necessarily in bulk. However I am still firm on my view that Lego is spreading this theme over too much space. The compactness of the Dragon Dance and the Dinner are fantastic and make great displays. I did weaken though and buy the larger set (fool that I am) If Lego are going to continue with this theme and I hope they do can they make it vertical as opposed to spreading all over the shop. We are running out of room! My son is building the latest star destroyer which is a monster! If this continues I may have to consider disposing of a family member to find the extra room we need for the Lego. It's a toss up between the wife and the son!

Another great interesting review. I believe that all the Torso prints that are not Chinese related have been released before but the Chinese related ones are new. The fact that there is southern lions but it takes place in Northern China won't bother the majority of people, but it would be nice for it all to be accurate. I might get the two sets later in the year once I figure out what to do with it, but I'm afraid that they might retire quickly everywhere except Asia. 😄

Thanks for the review. Are you planning any future videos combining this set with Ninjago’s Temple of Airjitsu set? i’d be interested in how you would go about doing that.

Great review sir! Where is your cool accent from? Man I love getting international voices in the Lego Review community. I am jealous of you having this set,but I have some new unopened sets I need to build before I buy more. Thanks for your work and thanks to your builder-helper too:)

I have the original 3 sets that were released last year and on New Year's day bought the smaller set along with the Book Shop. Here are my complaints regarding the Chinese series. Firstly the price - The combined price for both Chinese sets is the same as the Book shop here in Australia $250 but I haven't counted the bricks but I am pretty sure that there are at 2500 bricks in the Bookshop more than in the other 2 sets combined. I appreciate the attraction of having a window into a fascinating culture that is old as civilised man is. But I am sorry it does seem too expensive for that experience. My second complaint is probably even more commanding in that It is too expansive in size. In my view The Family dinner set is the best of all and one that sits very nicely in a compact space and as you anyone will tell you when you collect Lego sets it is the room it takes up which is the problem. You allude to that in many of your videos. The sheer space it takes up on the shelf is what made me think twice before deciding against buying it, It represented to me a lot of little scenes for a lot of space and money. I want Lego to keep showing other cultures in their series but if they could use a format like that dinner set where they keep the space at a premium it would be far more user friendly. And after all in my experience Asians know better than anyone on how to achieve much in a very small area!

I don’t doubt LEGO jumping on the bandwagon of global warming! They are now using plant base materials to make LEGO bricks. I’m worry they’re compromising quality to please some audiences! I like the sets, I probably buy them! As for me quality is important and I have expressed my concerns to LEGO before about the plant based bricks!
