JC, this is a great idea! I think it would be fun to have a Post Office! End building, interesting idea! so fun to see your design process! Love the idea of the 'do not enter' sticker! I like the idea of the mailbox in the wall! the auto stamp machine looks great! I love the way you really minimize the space and put the details into the build that make common sense and are sized correctly and not too bulky or too tiny! so much gray! in our part of the US we have lots of Post offices built from red bricks and white or cream trim so they would look quite different, but we do not have large cities in our part of the northeast! so I guess gray is best for a city! The large glass doors for the entry are a very good idea! I love the sticker packs, they really make some great ones! great tips about the stability of the piece by adding the 1x6 bar, and then the roof issues was an interesting part, too! Jumper plates placement was simple but useful! the overhang was a good idea! I agree with the light gray idea! Drain gutters and lights too! so many wonderful details to see and enjoy the way you build your MOCs. LegoLoved it! Vickie 😃💚🌈💙😍

Thanks a lot Vickie! I did a search on US Post Offices and they seem to come in all shapes, colours and sizes haha. But, I went with dark grey as I did not want to use white as a base.

This came at a pretty good time! I got the xtra sticker pack when it first came out and I just recently got 60100 Airport Starter Set at EnBlock for the mail accessories, so this will serve as good inspiration for my own LEGO post office (though I do plan to make mine somewhat smaller, and go the opposite route and give mine a fun and cheery color scheme). Thanks!
@SmallBrickCity5 жыл бұрын
The airport starter set is solid and the new sticker pack will help add to the elements there for your post office. All the best!

Just a comment on the post office color choice. Usually you can tell public service buildings or entities by tier colors. Cops blue, fire fighters red, ambulance white. I think the light and dark gray don’t really give that post office vibes, if you just look at it from the outside it has more of a prison color than a post office.

You have done a great job with the post office, and I feel the colour and roughness of the build works well as a post office. Your really in love with that xtra sticker pack. But how would a scooter deliver large parcels? 😄

Thanks a lot! They will have a mail box of the back of the scooter :-)
