I think you should lean into the fact that the harbor is darker rather than trying to fix it. That overhanging wall gives a nice opportunity to add more clouds, as if there was a storm there or something?

Yeah I may look for an alternative but I don't understand how to identify if the frequency will be bad in advance. They look fine to the naked eye!

What about using LED strip lights in the harbor corner. Sometimes called under cabinet lighting.

Great simple build. I will have to look out for those parts. Why don't you put some Wi-Fi RGB+W spots in the room? Then you could set up different lighting scenes, including bright white for filming. You then control them from your phone

7:18 Where I live we have a mountain range right next to us, so hang gliders launch from the top of the mountain range about 5-6000 ft higher than my town and land outside my town.

The colour of the more yellowy lights is often called 'warm white' as bright white gives the impression of cold, like snow or ice, whereas we associate yellow light with the sun.

When you said baby mobile, I thought you were going to follow with some kind of rotational thing to mount them to. Maybe there is a low profile one that could be made to be fairly unintrusive to mount some flyer stuff to? If the fighters and aliens weren't already mounted that would have been a good one for the dog fight. Maybe you can run something along the edges of the block above the harbor to break up the straight shadows like some clouds mounted along the edge. It may give the impression that the difference in light under there is due to cloud cover. It may just need something at the corners where the shadow is the harshest contrast.

A hope those glider pilots have oxygen! They are awfully high in the air, almost into space. Or your aliens are rapidly dropping out of space into the atmosphere! Regardless they look great.

I would replace those push lights for variant with a remote. Those can change color as well and might give the effect of early morning or a evening. Otherwise i love the gliders

Have a look into magician's invisible thread Robin - the same stuff they use for floating card tricks. Wouldn't be strong enough for a bigger build, but little ones like these would be perfect.

I thought that's what I had. It's totally invisible from any distance but the vertical lights seem to highlight it more than in normal lighting. Maybe I need an even thinner gauge!

Have you thought about the motion sensor strip lights for the harbour. They are advertised all over TikTok and would save you stretching.

Love the hang gliders! In terms of the issues with lighting over the corner of the harbor, I wonder what you would think about converting that area into a mountain area? You could repaint the walls just in that corner to match standard Lego colors of gray and then that corner could be a large cave or something? Wouldn’t need any lighting then and would help with all the angles breaking the illusion of blue sky in that area? I am along for the ride no matter what you do of course but that area just seems problematic for you at the moment.

Great to hang from the roof with fishing line as you know I got base jumper for jumping outta plain s like I had above my last city. Before moveing into a brand new house an so not stuck Anny hook or thos .pull strip dubble sided tape thing s. ..like your last city. It so add more. Buy haveing them above a city .but Manny other s city I seen online. Don't have .them. So only your city. An my last city. Was the only city I known to have. Them. 😊

Great thort Robin to tourn them into hand glider s .I never seen hand gliders in Anny Lego set at all. An I guess not. If only yousing thos two parts .but. Oh their was two set s with hand glider which I never seen any one show before. Nor never stumbled across them sets my salf in the 11 years .of getting back into Lego. I get the creativity of using these odd pieces in a cool way, but to be brutally honest, they look like collapsed hang gliders and they'll be plummeting to their deaths. I personally don't like the shape for use as hang gliders, but I also would have no idea how else you might be able to use them.

It's not like regular LEGO hang gliders are real world accurate. I think the standard LEGO car is a good metric. Is it less accurate than that? No. So it works!
