The splahes of colour are really bringing the scene to life. It doesn't matter if it's not “realistic” in my view! Nice work on the modularity too. 👍🏻

Thank you! I’m really pushing outside my typical color palette of boring gray 😂

This looks awesome. I think it could use even more plant pieces to really green it up!

Oh wow, the modularity is genius! And it all looks so good!

Hi Mark. The tan and orange colours do add colour but it does look a bit like something is flowing out of the mountain so I can understand the 'lava' comment. Or they could be scree but then that's usually a similar colour to the mountain it's falling down. So I wonder if a more scattered use of the tan colours would look more 'natural'. The green is definitely a plus and looks good against the rock background. You could scatter the orange under the green. Maybe you could add some yellow flowers either on the rocks or on the greenery if you want it to pop more.

I like the color spots and the plants on the mountain side. In Norway you often see some browns and sort of rust-luke colors on the rocks. The colors help give life to the build as only grey bricks would probably make it quite dull to look at. Looking forward to see how it will look as you build higher. Keep up the great work!

Loving the progress on the mountain and great that you are experimenting. I’m pretty new too landscaping and mountains but what I have tried is “less is More”! It does very much look like lava so maybe just try adding a few of the browns and oranges a bit more sparse might make it Look more realistic! But great stuff and I’m learning a lot from you!

Nice construction idea of the Mountain 👍. I like also that you used some other colours then the common gray

I'm digging the new mountain! The caves also give it even more depth, which is always better imo. The one on the side could be an old mine with a keep out sign. Or a bear cave/mountain lion. Im originally from Nevada, and we have mountain goats and big horn sheep, ao something like that could be cool since they can climb cliffs. We also have a bunch of ski resorts, so a gondola coming down from the top could be fun, too. I hope my ideas help, cheers!

So pleased I've found your channel, these videos your doing are helping me plan my winter village build for a show in New Zealand later in the year. I'm hoping my mountain will start second baseplate from back and give me a platform I can then make the mountain bigger on the back one. I want story telling and a santas workshop within the mountain if possible so that's why I'm hoping to bring it forward half a plate. My mountain front will end 16 studs away from back baseplate so platform is 16 by 32 studs

Looking good Mark! Really helps break up that grey. You should also look into buying some of the new 'reddish orange' parts too - a few are on Pick a Brick

Reddish orange? 🤔. I’ll check that out. I have sand blue on order.

@@MrBookieboo Yep, a new colour to the LEGO pallete - could work well on the mountain, especially for transitions

Those burps are not cheap and hard to get?
@MrBookieboo6 ай бұрын
They are super cheap and easy to get 🤔🤷♂️. Bricks and pieces typically has them in stock. The equivalent amount of bricks would be 2x-3x more.
