LEGO City Update - Subway Entrances & Whale MOCs 🚇🐳🏹

A few things today. I've added two more 3D subway entrances to Brick Nottingham to greatly increase network coverage. The first is near the harbour bridges and what will be the Pizza Restaurant, and the second is linking up with our full Haunted Subway Station and is firing ghosts out into the city. I hope they don't create a mess. I also add a beautiful whale MOC into Brick Bay using a shield piece from my last Brick Haul!

Great video Robin! I really love how you do your subway station entrances, it really achieves the illusion of depth and darkness. I got a laugh that you used the Vestas wind turbine worker going down the stairs. Like he's investigating a certain power drain. Hmm.. The whale looks absolutely awesome and is a great idea. I may have to use that in my harbor. You should get another one of the shield pieces and make another then you can call them George and Gracie.. 😉👍 a little star trek reference.. The 2nd entrance by the airport is very cool as well. Having the ghosts coming out of the entrance is a awesome idea, then to put a couple hidden side ghost hunters was great. Great City update Robin, I can't wait for Monday!

@@xanthicdragon6510 I have the Ideas Ecto-1 and it's quite possible to mod the inside the vehicle to fit all four 'Busters and all of their proton packs and ghost traps. It'll be an extremely tight fit but it's doable as I modified my Ecto-1 for this purpose. Mind you that the 'Busters will need to sit front to back of each other in a straight line, rather than the normal 2 x 2 rows of the 2016 version of the Ecto-1.

@@RobinHoodBricks Not the new one, the new one is nice, but obviously to big for your scale. The one from 2015/2016 (?) is smaller, and more to scale, so it would fit in and not take up the entire road. It would look brilliant and would make a lot of sense, as to how they got there.

Nice new things. The new subway entrance next to the ship looks good. There is sure to be a secret place where the pizza delivery boy delivers the pizzas for the turtles. Little door open pizza badoiing. The whale looks very nice and brings a little more life into the water. The tour bus was parked correctly and the visitors really got something for their money. You don't see ghosts every day. And that the entrance looks a bit higher, I don't think that's so bad, you can say yes, should it rain, no water runs into the subway :-)

I think if you had a brick wall at the bottom of stairs, placed the sign at an angle, and intentionally left out one of the globe pieces, you could make a mysterious, abandoned subway station.

This is really random, but I actually have this really cool custom Lego fire boat (Built on the old hull with the sides that went out and the old fire logo, 52 studs long), it has a bathroom, kitchen, bridge, medical room, deployable dinghy, and roof greebles.

I think the haunted station entrance should be a little more worn down, but that may be tricky to do given the sand green parts. perhaps you could modify the stripes at the bottom to have some plain grey or brown 1x2s to show rust or chipped off paint instead. Also, maybe having some kind of indication that the station is supposed to be out of service like discarded boards around from where the ghosts flew up wouldn't be a bad idea either. The ghosts are a good touch to tie into the haunted element, but the actual aged element of this older station isn't quite as apparent with the same exact station entrance as the rest of the city. Other than that I think it looks pretty good.

Fantastic whale. Love the ghosts flying out of the subway escaping the ghostbusters the one by the Pizza place looks great and is a great way to start filling the area before you get the building in. Hi Robin, Small progress it seems, but we all know the work that has to be put in to get this. I love the whale! Only adjustment I would make is to put a round dark grey jumperplate on top of the 4 studs where his blowhole is. I think that would look even better that seeing the studs. Very good job on the tail 👍🏼 Yeah, the subway entrances with our Dutch flag as tribute to all your Dutch fans, I still think that’s very kind of yours 😂😉 but yeah, everytime i still love those entrances.

Great video as usual. I really enjoy the one offs videos as you can accomplish small things that add depth to the city. I am curious to see this pizza restaurant as I assume it might be your next MOC after the GBC factory Even funnier for me was that I was going to suggest the new police creator building to in that spot. Oh well we know there are other locations for it.

It'll be more of a mod than a MOC. It needs to be lower in height than a full modular there I think. After my next modular and the 2021 Police one I may have no more 32x32 spaces left. Whaaat!
